Still in a great mood! I got to watch Clemson beat USUC, and I took a selfie with Keyshaun Johnson. Plus, I made the dip mrs_sang made last month at our tailgate. To quote a wise man, today was a good day.

It's going to be kind of awkward watching Arizona vs Oregon after UCLA gets beat by Stanford this week
Lol. I know this a possibility but I like the odds, we also didn't want to wait till after Friday's games and get stuck having to buy second market tickets. Even if it is Arizona or Arizona State it should be a good game, also a good excuse to visit the bay area.
It's a nice mix of things I agree with and things I don't. FSU should be the #1 team in the country. Do I see them taking home the title? No, but they still should be ranked #1. I still can't get hyped about the ACC's glorious 4-0 sweep of the SEC on Saturday. I don't want to take anything from GT's victory. That was thrilling, and they came through huge in the clutch. That being said, Louisville barely beat a Kentucky team Tennessee bested by 34. Should be #1 FSU beat an unranked Florida team that underachieved again and got their coach fired. The ACC's second best team, Clemson, beat a South Carolina team that has proven to be awful down the stretch. That 4-0 looks great, but it's not as impressive when you really look at it.
Edit: I don't mean this to say that any of those teams are bad or weak or whatever. I just don't think Saturday is as huge of a moment as she made it out to be.

Damn it, woman. I was counting on you for having a cogent debate on the topic. Now, I just have to endure another heaping helping of sang's ramblings about SEC bias and how Clemson beat Tennessee twelve years ago.

Reason #34 I am nice to new posters: most of the regulars are dicks.

The University of California Golden Bears improved significantly after last season (when they won 1 game, against Sacramento St., barely). This season they won 5 whole games and barely lost 1 more (Arizona completed a hail Mary as time expired). But the defense is still beyond atrocious. Think I'm exaggerating? Cal’s defense gave up more passing touchdowns, 42, and more passing yards, 4,406, than any defense in FBS history this season. If you have a sense of humor about such things, it would be comical watching quarterbacks having all day long to find wide open receivers. Sadly, I don't.

Hey Dave, while I agree with you that the 4-0 isn't as impressive as it could have been, I still want you to remember that time 12 years ago when Clemson beat Tennessee. But seriously though, the weakness of the SEC east does take a little of the shine off this weekend but It's still something for ACC fans to be proud of. Also spurrier sucks.

congrats to Dave Maynar for taking home the pick 'em.
way to go rdk for squeezing ahead of me by one point.
as for the rest of ya'll: SEC SEC SEC...or something.
stay tuned for the bowl pick 'em, lemme know if you want in or out, I'll invite all the people on the pick em, even the ones who didn't pick every week (ahem custeph )
So Butch Jones and Jim Harbaugh have both said no to Michigan and RichRod is having a blast in Tucson. How bad is it to be a Michigan fan right now?
I did not know about Harbaugh turning down Michigan. That does suck for them. It just seems like it would be a extremely tough job to have, so it shouldn't be as surprising that people are turning them down. Jones doesn't surprise me in turning them down. As someone on here put it, why leave Tennessee when the dumpster fire is just about put out to go to another school where the dumpster fire is raging?

They came close to getting beat by a middle-of-the-pack SEC East team.
Still undefeated though. It'd be one thing to leave them at #3. It's a whole other to move them down.
I don't really keep a close watch on College Foitball. I just wanted to reiterate that the SEC is better than the ACC. But really it seems like they've started falling in the polls since the last Winston controversy and the voters are hoping they lose one.

Haha. The SEC appreciates your support. It does appear that they are wanting to keep them down because of Winston, but they don't have a real basis until they lose.
