Especially since the first post made it sound like if he had apologized publicly rather than privately he wouldn't have been suspended a second time (is that in the rules somewhere, btw?).
Just to clarify. He never apologized for the comments he made about me, and more importantly about other board members. He did clarify that the term "hollowed out misery" when directed at me had nothing to do with my past breast cancer. He apologized that I or others might have thought so. And I appreciated and accepted that apology.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
"As far as I Know " is just political speak to cover your ass so you don't have to tell the truth.
If you are implying that I am not telling the truth, that is false, I am not a liar. I am also not a politician, I was however covering my ass, by letting you know that what I was saying was to the best of knowledge.

the mods are literally the Democratic party of the united states
It's better than if they were the Republican Party. They'd send us all to fight the coachella boards for something the lollapalooza boards did and then whine about Benghazi for two straight years while forgetting about all the board members that died under their rule.

Yeah, still not politics or politicians. Still a message board that have to be cared for by a handful of individuals.
Yeah kinda like the Supreme Court. Their not voted in and we are stuck with the Socialists until they Die.
I think a few of them (the Supreme Court) would argue the socialist part, but as for the rest of your comparison, yes you are stuck with us mods until we die. (or decide to step down on our own)

Try not to gloat so much when you say that.
Just a fact. No gloating, or at least none intended.

HA. I feel like you've just ignored the point I was trying to make.
That could be true. Sometimes I am a bit dense. Sorry.
While I always welcome a witty comment, I'm going to soap box a little here.
This isn't politics. It's not a democracy. It's a message board. One that's been efficiently run for quite a long time. I've managed to navigate my way through the last eight years without needing to be grounded. And I've had run ins from time to time. It's not impossible to opinionate all over the place and still be respectful.
The mods here are pretty great people, both virtually and actually. They handle a lot. Especially around this time of year. Being a message board mod isn't a trained position. It's something that they do when they're not busy, you know, living the life of a contributing member of society. I've said it before in posts, PM's, and in person. They do good work. Even if I don't always agree with them.

Your right it's not a democracy. I just believe sometimes Mods are a little heavy handed. But I respect your opinion and I will try to do better. But it still comes down to their way or the highway. And when I feel some injustices are being made I ain't gonna just sit around and say NO COMMENT. I'm not saying the Mods are bad people at all. But rational people can agree to disagree. But I admit rationality is not a strong suit of mine.

Holy shit, this thread got REALLY DUMB in the last 8 hours.
Hey mods, I really think you overall do a very good job. What are you supposed to do when a person repeatedly and aggressively steps over the lines of good taste and disrupts, insults and overall makes the boards a more unpleasant place to be? If Flanz wasn't calling someone an Ann Coulter, he was telling them to die in a fire. Or choke on their own vomit. Or whatever creative way he could think of to lash out at people that day. Everyone is so eager to defend freedom of speech, but is it too much to ask to have a relatively peaceful little fraction of the internet set aside to discuss a place we've all experienced joy? Sometimes I enjoyed the perspective Flanz brought to the table. Some (most of the) times, he was a horribly insensitive douche with no filter. 90% of the people rushing to his aid are just enjoying the worthless argument that has evolved from his short departure.
No, the mods may not be perfect, but who is? I think the work they've done in at least the 7 years I've been visiting these boards has been exceptional. For the most part, I've been able to use Inforoo as an escape from daily life to think about all the facets of my upcoming June vacation. This thread has reminded me that there are as many uneducated, misinformed and generally tasteless people here as anywhere else. It's honestly terribly disappointing.
For the record, Flanz is the antithesis of a saint. His recent situations are just a vehicle for the majority of you to trumpet your theories on free speech and digital oppression. Get over yourselves and try to make this small community better. For the most part, you're lessening my opinion of you with every reply.
I find it interesting that only men seem to be voicing their opinion on the use of the word and throwing c-word around like candy. I'm glad everyone's missed the point
For the record....I have a vagina and that particular word doesn't bother me. Just throwing that out there.
I'm in the same boat. It's one of my favorite words, honestly.

I don't like the word so I don't use it. But I don't get offended when someone else uses it. I will say it's one of the worst thing you could call someone tho.

I think I've just heard it used to purposely get a rise out of women soooo often that I've just made it one of those words that I refuse to be offended by. I get that it has some pretty terrible connotations (is that the right word?), but if people are just going to throw it around all willy-nilly then why bother being offended by it? If You want a rise out of me then I'm gonna make ya work for it.

I feel ya. I just choose the route of not using it. But calling me a cunt isn't going to get a rise out of me. I'm gonna think less of you, but I'm not going to react.
