Parsing that statement, it seems to answer your question. You will be told to stop if caught doing so. That being said, I saw a lot of 'GoPro' rage sticks and never noticed anyone hassled. The underlined portion leads me to believe that you will only get thrown out if you pull a Jack White by recording and selling the recording on site.
Can any tapers confirm with their own experiences?
i cant speak to the audio, but the part about the cameras is wrong. this is straight from bonnaroos site:
DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT IT

I think this is the boilerplate Musictoday agreement. I don't know if Bonnaroo will enforce it very strictly, the rules of what can come into Centeroo are much more pertinent.
That said, I haven't seen a "taper" at Bonnaroo in a long time.

There are always tapers and a few regular members who have hooked us up in previous years. It does feel like the number of people actively taping shows goes down each year. I definitely have seen less than when I started to go to the fest.
I just wish Bonnaroo would release sets (audio and/or video) for purchase. There's so many sets I'd love to have in high quality formats.

I was able to get most of the shows I saw last year from etree or dimeadozen. There were plenty of tapers.

Same here but in some cases it was a few select tapers who taped a lot of shows. I know willsfc has been my savior for a few years for his work.
True. Used to be that there were multiple sources for many of the shows, and that's not always the case. But there are very few I haven't been able to find.

pretty sure the underlined portion refers to selling bootleg bonnaroo tshirts and crap. nothing to do with taping.
Looks more like a standard Music Today statement. It's not listed on the Roo site as being banned. If you look above there are threads with plenty of links to recordings by tapers over the past few years. I taped 12 sets in 2012 with very little problem getting in the gates. Hopefully will be the same this year since I will be returning.
My 2009 ticket said No Taping... and it said Taping is OK on the website then.. so.. its a standard policy on all tickets. its on most ticketmaster tix too, even when the band is open taping.
Any tapers want to give us an idea of what shows you are planning on taping?
Goodluck getting your video cameras thru Centeroo.. Only taping allowed is pretty much cell phones, and that's just because they can't take away everyone's cell phone. Wish we could tape.. I'd GoPro every night and watch the play back haha

Yea, as I've stated before willsfc has been a godsend as far as posting and recording goes. Even if he doesn't get shows he seems to have a network with some of the other tapers to know who may have gotten what. It's usually the luck of the draw.
Something that I love is when Roo streams sets and people record those videos. The audio can be grabbed from those and even if they aren't full sets we may get a decent portion of high quality recordings.

nobody is talking about video cameras.
you have no idea what youre talking about, basically.

I would like to get these, but that could always change. Plus a few of the bands may turn us down-
Thur- ZZ Ward White Denim
Fri- Greensky Bluegrass Big Sam's Funky Nation Umphrey's McGee Animals As Leaders Derrick Trucks Superjam OR Mastadon>Deafhaven>Meshuggah
Sat- Seasick Steve Tedeschi Trucks Band Slightly Stoopid Flaming Lips
Sun- Carolina Chocolate Drops Yonder Mountain String Band Arctic Monkeys Avett Brothers Elton John
could be wrong but i dont think bands can "turn you down."
lots of acts that dont usually allow recordings wind up getting taped.
id assume they have little to no say in it, its the festivals policy.
suggest that tapers wait until the webcast schedule is revealed. all those sets will surface online, so dont go out of your way to tape those if its not in the cards.

Tapers have been turned down before. Pretty sure Paul McCartney turned down the tapers last year. I believe Bruce Springsteen did as well. Wouldn't be surprised if Elton turns us down this year.

Are you suggesting we skip bands we want to see because they are being webcasted? Or am I not reading that right? I still want to see those bands regardless of taping or not.

That's a stealth recording. As in the mics were clipped on his body somewhere and probably not visible. That's much different than what we do. The taping I do is on a stand with my mics 8' up in the air. For example this was our setup in 2012 -
