I'm not sure if I'm ready to reveal my hand just yet.
Wait, is this what people are mistakenly taking to imply that he might be inspector? Seriously? Christ hahaha. Sorry Tej, looks like you caught a bum rap here.
Just an FYI this silence helps absolutely no one except the mafia. I'm not saying start switching votes or anything. I'm basically getting killed because theirs nothing to go off of, and I'm over it, I wanted to do well in the game to have bragging rights at brunch but whatever. Anyways back to my point, no talking absolutely kills the town. Especially for whoever the inspector is. They are more or less taking a stab in the dark if this silence continues.
For example last game hakuna was able to guess Jazmos name because we had so much chatter in day one and he caught onto MikeD protecting Jazmo.
You're just too young to grasp how stylin' I really was. All the boys wanted to do me when I was 5. Actually the girls did too. My haircut was confusing.
I agree with Tejas and Hakuna about this silence not being good. We probably have all townies, or if there's a Mafia in the runoff, s/he isn't attracting enough attention to warrant being defended. But like Hakuna said, if Tejas isn't inspector, switching votes to someone else runs the risk of voting off the townie who IS inspector. Hmm.

Basically exactly. I think two things happened on day 1. 1) Last games day 1 was pretty rediculous, I think people were probably a little hesitant to ruffle any feathers. 2) with a hard deadline, I think it was easy enough for the mafia to get a favorable runoff. There were only two changes(one was you, the other was changing to you). And then people just started doubling up. There really wasn't a whole lot of time to sit back and realize mafia seemed ok with the way things were going. I know I probably would have moved if I had know thats how the runoff was going to look, but I was at work. Obviously that's thin and an "excuse" but honestly with tight deadlines I think we basically have to expect this kind of thing, rounds closing without people checking in and probably mafia using it to their advantage.
Basically when it came to this runoff, I would have preferred just about everyone else not in it, in it. All 4 of them were early voters, just about everyone else(except for surf and myself) stacked(I use stacked very, very loosely as it was only the second vote also I haven't fact checked so I may have missed someone else). I much rather would have taken a shot at any of them then these 4 who basically placed a vote and then were left to be thrown in the runoff.
And Tejas like I said, it sucks but it's just where I'm at. Krissy has played well in recent games, drew a whack last game, and I'd like to give her the benifit of the doubt for now. Jimmy and Mike D, are basically on my list of my "target" players, who I like to see live til atleast day 2.
Ok, I'll talk: I don't think any of the original four in the run off are mafia, by process of elimination. I have a lit of three suspects and if you look at the voting order and who piled on where, I think it shows.

I disagree. I feel with a 4 person runoff the math is in the town's favor that there is a good chance one of them is mafia

I keep trying to find something to talk about, but there's nothing jumping out at me. I looked back and considered changing my vote, but if the mafia is happy with the runoff, meaning everyone in the runoff is a townie, I think no matter who we vote off, it'll hurt the town. Anyone I'd move my vote to is experienced and a good player, so they'd help the town. Just gonna sit on my vote until something raises a flag.
The person I suspected when I posted earlier was krissy, because she was very active as a townie in the first round of last game but has been pretty quiet here. It seemed suspicious to me. I didn't want to mention it before because that would give her a good reason to talk more if she was Mafia, but since she voluntarily gave a reason for her quietude, that kinda knocks that idea out. Hopefully that explains my vote switch from Tejas well enough, but really I agree that it doesn't really matter who we vote off now. I want to see a whole new group of peeps in a runoff next round.
Isn't it actually more than twice as likely that a townie is in a four person run off when compared to mafia. And none of my mafia suspects are in the runoff. And here you are with your math to try and throw me off. And you are not in the runoff. Neat how that works.

Yes, on an individual level each is much more likely to be town then mafia but I was going on #s with the group.
Not trying to throw anyone off, as I don't have any real suspects yet. The lack of talking and vote changing isn't giving us much to go from, and if throwing math in makes me a suspect, I guess that is as good a reason as any others given.

What info allowed you to gain 3 suspects?

Prolly over-thinkin this one but the only shred of anything I see is 3 folks who started the stacks and moving towards a runoff and all three are voting for someone else. I would think chances are one of them is likely as the mafia are able to hide easiest in round one. Considering only one of those 3 is in the runoff

While the math is fundamentally correct, unfortunately humans trying intentionally to be deceitful makes statistics irrelevant. They are good to think about and consider, but this is not a game of numbers played with people, this is a game of people and partial information. On a huge scale, your statistics would probably come out right though - that is the other side of this coin. When you broaden the scope to a massive scale the numbers will work out. If you hang your hat on the numbers though, you'll be wrong often, with no real explanation.
That being said, Mike D is mafia like 74.2 percent of the time - that you can hang your hat on.
(since sarcasm hasn't been well received this game, I will go ahead and explain here that I was joking there. Yes he is mafia a lot. But - if you flip a coin 25 times in a row and get heads every time, the statistics of the next flip are still 50/50)

Reading through again and this stuck out to me. At this point, Tejas and Mike were both tied at 3, so no one was getting killed.

Hey, sorry I wasn't very active the last 18-24 hours. I had commencement yesterday and a bunch of family stuff. I just read through once but I want to read it over again before I decide to keep my vote on Krissy or switch. I'm not really getting a bad vibe from her but we'll see how I feel on a second read.
I personally always advocate for the double run-off in round one. We need those last two votes to come in before much else can be done
Do people support a 3 way run off or should we make it 2? If we have a 3 way run off then it's very possible we will end up having 3 run offs in round one. This is one of those things that I don't really have a position on because I'm not really sure what's best. I definitely support having 2 run offs in round one but if we really whiffed here then having 3 run offs can cause a lot of confusion. Just my 2 cents.

I personally prefer the 2 way runoff. Even if people aren't talking we are establishing voting patterns that may help the inspector now and may help the town later.
