Ive done Shambhala in British Columbia a coupleof times and it quickly became my favorite festival experience . Also very intetested in Exit, Kazantip and the many beachside Croation summer festivals.
If you're into electronic music, I'd encourage checking out Secret Solstice, in Reykjavik. Not only is it in an awesome location which is only 4.5 hours from the Northeast by plane, it's for an amazing occasions (midnight sun), and the lineup is always incredible. They'll be releasing phase two on Tuesday, but the following are already in phase one:
Moodymann GusGus Erol Alkan Kink FM Belfast Daniel Avery Detroit Swindle Leon Vynehall Artwork Klose One Moff & Tarkin
Plus plenty of others with whom I'm not familiar. If you're at all interested in getting the benefit of the deep lineups the Euro electronic fests tend to have, this is a hell of a lot closer than traveling to the mainland.
That is right up my Druid alley. I have no idea who most of those artists are, but that would be so much fun. Little further for those of us in the South, but I think I can convince my hubby to make a trek to Iceland one day.

I believe starting May 8th, WowAir is going to be starting to have plane tickets as low as $98 from the US(specifically BWI). One of my dreams is seeing a Sigur Rós concert in Iceland, and for a price like that I would definitely make a vacation out of it!
No thanks. I'd rather stay here in the good ol' U.S. of A, where I know my beer will be cold and my festival lineups all look the same and shitty. BUD LIGHT AND ALABAMA SHAKES FOR ALL!
Totally forgot they announced this (or was it just a rumor?) last year. Well FUCK, gotta find a way to go to this if the lineup is as good as the British one.
