Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I think that if you're posting on a Bonnaroo forum full of Bonnaroo lovers about whether or not to go to Bonnaroo, your responses are going to be pretty biased towards to "go to Bonnaroo" option. Make a pros and cons list! It often helps to see things represented visually in front of you.
Emoney serves more of a purpose than any of you, especially Nate, whose incessant, garbled ramblings are so mindless and pointless that I get depressed just seeing them.
I went to Coachella several years straight. When I finally had to miss it wasn't that big a deal at all.
I wouldn't put myself in a financial fiasco for an event that happens every year.
Had to miss Bonnaroo 2010 (first one since I started going in 2005) and I learned that the buildup is more painful than actually missing it. Seeing the lineup announced, schedule come out, late nights announced, and other things in the months leading to the fest hurt the most. Missing the actual fest was much easier once it actually got to the weekend.

This. I'm not going either, surf. I wasn't, then I was, then I got a beat down for considering it. Bonnaroo is great but I wouldn't start selling my shiz for something that's gonna last for 4 days. Sure, you'll have memories and few photos, but once those records are gone, they are gone.
Buy a few cases of beer and a few frozen pizzas and watch the stream. That's my plan in two weeks.
I missed last year because I had another big trip/festival scheduled just a week after Bonnaroo. I couldn't afford the vacation time for Roo and really needed to save my money. So I sat at work and at home while I was bombarded with Facebook posts and texts from everyone that was there.
But my cat ended up getting really sick that weekend and subsequently passed away on Sunday. So I took that as a sign from the Bonnaroo Gods that I was meant to miss 2013 so I could say goodbye to my kitty and make sure she passed peacefully.
It was rough not being there while everyone I knew was, and I was really depressed, but I survived. It has just made getting pumped up for this year even better. Seriously, I'm more excited this year than my first year.
Imma be blunt. Don't go this year. Consider yourself an early planner for next year. You know roughly how much it costs, so start saving now. $50-80 a month starting now is a lot less painful and would cover your 2015 ticket, gas, food/drink, and whatever $ you need on the farm.

this is mostly terrible advice. sell everything... your damn soul if you have to. i parted out a computer that i had just built so that i could go in 2010. and that was crushing. but absolutely worth it.
