People that are 6'-8" and go alllll the way to the front and blocks everyone's view.... Had this happen at Empire of the sun last year. Some +6'-5" douche went all the way to the front rail and blocked everyone's view behind him. Seriously, you couldn't stand a tad further back since you hover everyone? You would still be able to see perfectly fine.
Hey! Tall people deserve to be on the rail just as much as shorter folks; don't take this away from us - we already get everything off of top shelves for you pygmies.
pygmies! Haha awesome! And yes, you do have the same right as anyone else! I agree! I am just giving you tall people a hard time!
If a giant swoops in front of me, I kindly tap his shoulder and ask if we can trade places. Works every time.
I tend to hang a bit further back at concerts these days, so my 6'3" height shouldn't bother many. But back in the day when I had to be as close as possible, I'd sometimes let shorter people in front of me. Usually depended on how nicely they asked.
These people are the worst. If it's one person, fine. They probably just went to the bathroom or to get a beer. I've been that guy. But when it's a group of 4+, Eff that.
It's not too much a problem for me. But my wife is 5'3, so it takes a lot of good positioning for her to even see the stage at tent shows. That sucks.
Ugh, I feel bad even doing that when I have to go to the bathroom. In fact, that is my biggest problem with shows. Putting forward the time & committment to get front & center, only to have to leave that spot to pee at some point. Then I feel like a total douche trying to get back in, as I know most people think I am full of it. Has anyone come up with a good solution to this? (Note: not going pee is not a good solution nor an option, haha).
In this situation, especially before the show starts, I usually just make it a point to let people know on my way out that I'm just trying to leave to go to the bathroom. Then on my way back in, try and follow the same path, and people will remember you and have no problem letting you pass.
My wife is barely 5ft and is always complaining about not being able to see. She loved the VIP hill and thoroughly enjoying getting some site of the stage. We were standing there watching Eminem and this 7ft monster tall dude walks up beside me. I told him that my wife was standing in front of me and I thought it would be hilarious if he stepped around in front of her. At first he refused but then he finally gave it a whirl. As soon as he stepped in front she freaked. She screams at the top of her lungs, "you've got to be fucking kidding me!" I quickly jumped in so that she didn't scream at this guy too much. Then we all had a great laugh. Doesn't really have a lot to do with this thread, but Bonnaroo is pretty much the only thing on my mind at the moment and all this tall dude bashing reminded me of what we all learned that day. Tall people, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose.
people who keep pushing and walking through the crowd during a set. Its one thing to need to get out of the crowd to go to the portos but these people are zombies...... its like they never stop moving through the crowd and they dont care if they step on your feet.
And another thing, who let the effin elephants in to take a crap in the portos?
Its disturbing how much crap was piled up in some of the portos.....
