Anyone else sitting in line trying to leave this morning? This is my 8th Roo. I always leave around this time Monday morning... always been able to drive right off the Farm without delay. I wonder what's going on. More people staying the night Sunday?

Yeah this is my fourth and I never had this problem before either - was hoping it was just in Groop. Been stuck in line for over a half hour, usually we'll on the road after that amount of time Monday am.

There was zero traffic leaving Sunday night at 6pm. We were the only cars on the road the entire way home. I suspect quite a few people stayed for Elton, only a handful of people in my pod had packed up on Sunday.
Been sitting in the line on the main drag to the interstate tollbooth for 45 mins and haven't moved more then 10 car lengths. Anyone having any luck or know what's going on?
Edit: I don't remember, is the east tollbooth open for exits also?
It's been two and a half hours for me. Moved about half of my "street" but that was due to people getting out of line to try a different direction. Eleven Bonnaroos for me and this is the first time I've encountered this. Almost always leave between 8 and 9.
I'm so pissed. I still have a sixteen hour drive ahead of me if I ever get out of here.

Pretty much the same for me (I think my clock said 7:48). It looked like there were a lot of people getting close to leaving at that point though.
It is hard to compare for me because each of the previous 2 years has been pouring rain as I was leaving. Both times were a bit of a clusterfuck, but definitely not anything close to 3 hours.

We snuck out around 1am out of Pod 2. We were near the bottomish of Camp Dutch and the line of traffic on 2nd Avenue heading towards Bushy Branch was stagnant as fuck around the time Elton finished. Then about 12:40ish it started to slowly move and we made our move. It took us about 30 minutes to get out via the highway exit. I think a lot of people were turning around from the interstate exit and going for the highway exit once they realized how quick it was getting out that way.
We sat in TO fer about 2-3 hours waitin' on traffic to clear out. We heard from security that they were doin' somethin' different or they "forgot" to communicate somethin'. Just bananas. Did give us time to make some groundscores though.

We left at 5 am Monday morning and were just about the only vehicle leaving at that time. Can someone tell me if the police actually enforce taking the completely ridiculous backtracking for miles upon miles to I-24 or could I have ignored the signs and actually drove through Manchester to the I-24 exit. The backtracking alone added nearly 45 minutes to or trip home.
We left Elton at the start of his encore, finally got to the centeroo exit a few minutes after the fireworks. A healthy hike all the way to far west RV parking and we were literally out the Interstate toothbooth in less than five minutes. Merging into interstate traffic was a white knuckle adventure though.

At 8:17 am, I turned left on the road in front of the ferris wheel and drove towards Pod 1 to pick someone up. We had zero delay, came out on Kimberly Rd, by the Wal-Mart and made a quick stop at McD's. As I drove past the farm, I looked right and saw traffic stopped and backed up at the Highway entrance and on Bushy Branch road. I have no idea what was going on, but I lucked out.

Going from Pod4 (Access) to the highway exit took us over two hours then we had to go north to exit 105 in order to turn around and head south. Last year I was able to leave from the highway exit, go to 111 and turn right around but a state trooper stopped me and said absolutely not. Pretty annoying but it is what it is I guess.

Yes, they were enforcing it. After my for hour wait to exit the festival, the ramp my GPS told me to take was blocked off for through traffic only. Given that all of the volume was sent in that direction, it would make sense that they wouldn't want a while bunch of people merging and changing lanes.
So I went the fifteen or so miles to the first exit that we could exit and turn around from. Drove back in the very sparse traffic headed the opposite direction to my ramp. Also closed from that direction. Tried to talk the officer into letting me exit because it cut an hour off of my drive. No dice.
He was nice and have me alternate directions that he assured me were quicker. So he sent me to NY by way of GA.
Final total: tried to leave at 8:30 AM CST. Left the farm at 12:30 PM CST. Got home at 6:45 AM EST. That was a long effing day.

I was in the same boat.. woke up at 5am, packed the rest of our shit and were headed out by 6am. Got to the highway by 6:15.
There were barely any other cars leaving at that time.

Well, that is totally ridiculous. We were literally the only vehicle leaving and had to go through 45 minutes of unnecessary backtracking. Boo.
I sat in an abandoned field in stinking hot sun over FIVE hours after we packed & were ready to depart waiting with a friend I came with for security to allow our driver/friend back on the farm. She was a newbie and woke with a dead car battery Mon.morning, and forgot to tell us she was leaving the farm from East Dillon about 8:30 a.m. Otherwise our ride share a 10 year vet Bonnaroovian would have advised her to stay put!!!!!! She wasn't allowed back on the farm for hours. We watched you all leave and when we finally departed at 3 p.m. Only a half dozen vehicles and campers remained. Luckily we had no traffic until Chattanooga. We arrived in Maryland exhausted at 5:30 a.m. Tues. I'm sunburned but not too severely. So glad I slept all day and no work this week!
