Wow no Sam Smith or Chvrches. I guess FKA Twigs and Albarn are probably the favorites right now. Based on the last two winners, Jungle is a solid bet. But the Brits love a poet so I'll go with the early pre-nominee favorite, Kate Tempest.

I think Eminem pissed everybody off with his lyrics about physically abusing Lana Del Ray. Not that it is something new for him, just a new day and age.

I remember nothing from MMLP2. I couldn't even name a track from it.

Yea, he had that and then made some rape joke or something. I saw the outrage and thought "Do these people know who Eminem is? Did they never hear his earlier work where he kills his wife in a horrifying song?"

Yet your avatar is the monster that's under my bed.

Grant land had an article on him titled "Eminem at 42: The Hateful Rap Of An Aging Man". P4k gave his Shady Records compilation a 2 but that probably had more to do with the fact that it probably sucks.

Yea, when I saw the headlines about the rape/physical abuse lines my first thought was "Eminem just being eminem. Trying to get more attention by being shocking". I'm actually surprised he hasn't started to bring back the gay slurs.
I doubt Sam Smith gets an album nod, but he'll get tons of song/vocal performance nominations. AF will probably get in for best album.
I wonder if the blowback from Macklemore winning best rap album last year will hurt Eminem. MMLP2 is garbage so it shouldn't even be a question, but it was still the best selling rap album this year but a far margin.
If Sam Smith doesn't win best new artist I'll shit a brick. I wanted to predict he'd win more awards than people would think, but I saw he's up against Taylor Swift and I feel like she's gonna run away with a shitload of awards a la Daft Punk last year.

Assuming she's eligible, Ariana Grande would have my BNA vote.
