Also if Alabama Shakes is still in line for BC, that could be another good guess.
As much as I love their new album and would like to see them at NFF, if they build up all that suspense with a secret HLer and it turns out to be the Alabama Shakes that would be a huge letdown

Well making an announcement in the comments section of a Q&A isn't that suspenseful. Plus from a follow up question if sounded as if they're testing the waters.
Just a thought. It may be possible that they are holding back all the headliners until the day of the show. I know that most on here believe that decemberists are Saturday's headliner, but it's very possible that they are not. I asked them on both Twitter and that FB post if they are the headliner and they avoided the question. In past years they would at least respond with "yes" if the artist was
Also, someone asked on the Q and A what the headliners were and they said to have patience
I was just reading through the comments, they definitely changed some of their answers afterwards. There was a comment in the thread about the "day of announcements" that took a jab at Live Nation, they later edited that response

Yeah it was pretty cool, he mentioned that they won't be announcing multiple Artists this year until the day of the show. Raising the "in jay we trust" factor.

False! Yes they do use the term headliner
Blast! You foiled me! You found the one time they used it (and really, it was just pointing out that Avett Bros. have played several times before, but never in that time slot). They did not, however, use the term when they announced Jack White, Ryan Adams, Mavis Staples, Beck, or Old Crow Medicine Show.

This is making my decision to buy a Sunday ticket more and more difficult. I may just bite the bullet, they're going pretty cheap on stubhub right now.

Stopping a rolling line up is against the laws of physics! But I am nothing but excited. I'm totally okay with wandering around the Fort and bumping into something great that I didn't know would be happening. They barely give out schedules for Pete's Sake! Maybe more this year with the SURPRISES.

i'm paraphrasing cause i'm to lazy to look back but the question was asked dream headliners dead or alive and it was bob markey, jerry garcia and woody guthrie
