I just don’t understand how Kanye got like this. He wasn’t always like this. How does someone just change their worldview like that?
Religion is a hell of a drug.
I think he's always had the religious background. It sounds like either he for some reason started watching fox news and listening to conservative talk radio or hw has people around him that are influencing him with that stuff. The main reason is that he's fucking crazy. That happens to a lot of people that reach that level of fame and success.
There are plenty of wtf moments in conspiratorial thinking over the past few months, but how in the fuck did the bill gates tracking chips shit start? Jesus fucking Christ.
I think he gets positive reinforcement from "triggering" people, and at some point he started caring more about that than putting out good music. I'm guessing he looks at it like: if he's making people mad, he must be doing something right.
Until basically 2016, that's how I looked at him, too. People got mad about Katrina, or Taylor Swift, or the rants, or whatever and his fans like me loved it, while everyone else hated it. It's that shit he said at Roo. We were fans of Kanye because we were fans of ourselves, because he believed in himself and being the greatest and he said "fuck you" to anyone who disagreed.
And maybe he feels that way now because it's a lot easier to say you're going to run for president without actually knowing about deadlines, etc. and immediately getting mass publicity in Forbes, where you can again say more incendiary shit and get even more eyeballs, than it is to write another MBDTF. This understanding of how to manipulate the media is how Trump became president. I don't think Kanye will ever become president, but we'll probably never hear the end of it.

Honestly, Kim is smarter than this. I just don't understand why she stays with this man
I think it's complicated, like many relationships. I'm not a psychologist by any stretch, but I have someone very close to me who has bipolar disorder and goes a bit "Kanye" at times, and you have to look past the wild statements and behaviors during their extreme manic periods and see the whole person under it. It is a very complex disorder and I recognize so many of the behaviors he exhibits periodically. I know she and her family get a lot of crap, but I think he's very lucky to have Kim as a grounding force in his life, especially in the absence of his mother or other apparent supportive figures.

i would love to go back to 2007 and have a conversation with myself. at that time one of my more serious concerns was how popular "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" was in America. How can people like this?? It doesn't seem right that these people are famous just for being famous?? What is going on with our society??. i could quell those concerns by telling circa 2007 postjack "hey man don't worry, in 2020 when Kanye West announces his run for presidency against Donald Trump in his new political party "The Birthday Party" backed by the guy who just started electric car and space rocket companies, on a platform of stopping Bill Gates from injecting us all with microchip tracking vaccines that will keep us out of heaven and blind america from the grace of Jesus Christ, Kim Kardashian will be the grounding force that keeps Kanye from going too crazy. btw speaking of crazy, you are gunna go crazy for Kanye's 2013 release 'Yeezus'"

Less than 1% of abortions happen after 6 months, almost always when the life of the mother is at risk.
Tweet won't load, what was it
I'm guessing he deleted the tweet but it was a picture showing fetuses at 6 months and saying "These souls deserve to live" or some shit. Basically a pro-life argument but he looked clueless about the topic.

Remember when Kanye appropriated a song about lynchings to instead be about trying to finance the abortion of a child he sired with a woman who wasn't his wife? Heh. Probably shoulda bothered me more at the time.
He’s literally mentally ill guys. He’s majorly bipolar and has massive TBI from a car crash.
Not excusing the backwards ass viewpoints but he is definitely not well.
but he’s always been bipolar and the TBI would’ve also always been there for a majority of his major fame.
Unless these things get worse over the years? I admittedly know very little about either.
A lot of mental illness is exacerbated when someone goes through a traumatic event. He had the car crash in 2002 but then his mom died in 2007. Apparently he felt extremely guilty, bc she died due to plastic surgery complications in a surgery he paid for, by the only sketchy doctor who would do it bc she was addicted to pills.
Those things coupled with massive amounts of money and privileges prob made it worse bc nothing kept him in check as far as his “vision” goes and he would still have a safe place to live etc. Normal people who spouted that stuff constantly would more than likely lose their jobs.

I think all the turmoil that's going on in our country/the world right now would definitely qualify as traumatic, too. I can totally see it being a trigger for many people, whether they realize/acknowledge it or not.
And as someone who manages the supportive side of this at close contact on a cyclical basis (It is not a constant state, but needs constant management), I'm not comfortable with people all over social media making a joke out of this. Yes he is saying wild shit right now, but that is 100% on brand for someone with bipolar disorder of a certain magnitude when they are in a manic state, they just don't have the same sized audience.
