Oh, there would be a pit. For examples, see Ty Segall 2014, Dillinger Escape Plan 2009 and a bunch of other acts.
Cloud Nothings, Danny Brown, and Ferg all had pits this year too
I was so surprised how many pits I ended up in this year...Cloud Nothings, Pusha T (brief pit during Mercy and Don't Like lol), Danny Brown, NMH (happy slam dancing? no real word to describe it), Bouncing Souls, when ASAP Ferg came out during the Skrillex superjam....then ASAP Ferg the next day. Death Grips last year was pretty wild too
Yeah, he was at the three shows that were mentioned at the quoted post, but not at Ty Segall's set.
If you're gonna be rude, learn to read.
Not rude, simply confused. I didn't realize there were four sets being discussed. I thought Ty Segall was included in the three shows that he was addressing when saying he had experienced all three first hand and then saying he wasn't at Ty Segall, immediately following.
If you're going to be confrontational don't do so based off assumptions.
Was waiting for Juggs for chime in. "Coachella got them years ago, such a Bonnaroo thing to do" please.
No, I'm all in favor of this as they'd be the single best band to ever play Bonnaroo. There's zero shame here. It wasn't just Coachella though, they played lots of places. It's just funny because this is exactly the kind of joke I would make only it would be real life.
I wouldn't say they played a lot of places, they played 17 US headlining dates with 3 festival shows (Coachella, FunFunFun). It wasn't quite Outkast levels of reunion shows (40 festivals), or Neutral Milk Hotel (over 50 US headlining shows + Coachella, Bonnaroo, Pitchfork, Boston Calling etc.)
