You guys, I think I'm getting meaner. Because these Instagram reactions are so funny I actually almost posted a screenshot of a response that was so ridiculous I can't stop laughing about it. But then I remembered this is a public forum and people come and look here a lot more than I realize and I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelers.

if it is dr dog (most logical and easy guess by the way) and they were there last year, and we are all wondering what the lunchbox meant for rooclue #2 as it has last year's lunchbox, what is the roo trying to do? the exact same line-up as last year lol??
“Music has always been a matter of Energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed Fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio.” - Hunter Thompson

I dunno guys. Think about how many people would go to Bonnaroo just to see houndmouth, but then wouldntgo because they could see them 3 months earlier.

Come on, do you really expect us to think about the economic reasons for the radius clause? I read some article once on facebook about how festivals do it just to be mean. That's good enough for me.
Do you even know how it works? You're so gullible (unless it comes to Taylor Swift!) it's wild
how what works? The radius clause? yes..I am aware of how it works.. I am trying to figure out everyone's issue with it in regards to me saying "that would cancel them out, then"....

I apologize. It struck me as annoying that someone said something without any sort of meaning or evidence and you just went" alright guys, radius clause, move on, can't be them!"

Your post indicates that you believe this apocryphal "radius clause" would cancel out Houndmouth. What you are essentially saying is that you believe that a band called Houndmouth is such a massive draw that Bonnaroo would want to prevent them playing in Nashville three months prior to the festival because they would be afraid that the massive throngs of Houndmouth fans would just say "eh, fuck it" about going to Bonnaroo because they could just see their favorite band at some club in Nashville for 8 dollars. This is what you are saying.

If you know how it works you know that it would be a way the festival protects itself from losing ticket sales from people in it's closest markets (Nashville and Atlanta presumably) and primarily applies to larger bands. The type of bands that would make someone buy a ticket to the festival. Maybe 10 people will buy Bonnaroo tickets just because Houndmouth is there and 20,000 would do it because Prince is there. See the difference.
It is also effected by bands that the fans like to see multiple times (ex: Phish playing in TN right before Roo in 2009)
