Is it possible for ZBB and Joel to play the same stage without there being a significant amount of time to move both band's production off and on stage?
It will def take some time. Foo Fighters played for 2 1/2 hours to close out the main stage last year, I doubt they give Deadmau5 the same amount of time. Some of that chunk of time will probably be for exactly that I would think.
I have so many friends who swear by ZBB and I just can't get into him. He clearly has a fanbase as he just sold out Fenway Park three nights in a row. I will check him just for the fact that he covered Pearl Jam and Temple of the Dog as I'm a huge PJ fan (hence my user name). Apparently he also covers AIC, Metallica, DMB, Charlie Daniels, Led Zeppelin and a bunch of other rock bands so I'm hoping for a heavy cover set.

I think sometimes your just not that into 'em and there is no science to it.
Seeing ZBB once is enough and I like them. Every show is almost the exact same except for a slight rotation of very good covers.
Agreed. Took away a healthy respect for the musicianship at Deluna 12. No hate at all outside of the country parts with vocals. But there's no drive in me whatsoever to see them again. If I'm passing by and they are jamming, which they do, I'll watch a few minutes from the back. But it's nothing I plan on making time for when I do my schedule. Chance and Fishbone are my early morning expected favorite shows.that day.
Maybe an outside chance Bro Safari gets the last set (Voodoo doesn't always have the biggest act as close I.e. Booka Shade. Since Voodoo Sunday only goes to 9pm, would they maybe go Main Stage Chance > ZBB > Deadmau5? I think Chance could do Le plur, but voodoo would be underestimating his draw which I doubt they would do if they put him on an alternative stage. Assumptions for that theory obviously based on Fishbone, 3rd Eye Blind, The Cult and Dumpstaphunk playing on one of the alternative stages though obviously Dumpstaphunk could play main stage early. Slightly Stoopid is the wildcard, because they are big here. So where do they go? You would think a main stage but they could headline one of the alternative stages say after Fishbone.
I'd appreciate anyone's speculation on how Sunday shakes out.

Slightly Stoopid is really good live. I saw them at Hangout and just recently on their tour. Lots of horns and a variety of instruments. I also enjoy how Miles and Kyle both sing lead vocals and Karl Denson is also touring with them. They are good times and am looking forward to a nice Sunday afternoon set.
We saw then at The Joy last fall then Hangout and Waka. All 3 shows were a blast. Some people want to hate on so-called white reggae but to me a lot of that is just a product of today's West Coast. Live I like all of the bands people lump into that sort of beach/reggae/funk genre including Tribal Seeds, Dirty Heads etc. but where do they play at Voodoo?
Soul Rebels, who will be playing with Joey Bada$$ at Voodoo, are on tour in Japan where they collaborated with Marilyn Manson (Beautiful People) as well as Macklemore and Ryan Lewis.

Ive seen slightly stoopid so many times that Ive become bored. On the contrary, walking by their set at Waka, I noticed their sound has grown much bigger and broader so I will probably give see em again now that it has been a couple years.
Yeah, I caught some of the Waka set, and it definitely jammed. But no way was I missing Conspirator at Satellite Stage.
First time I saw them was 2013 Hangout. I was there as they were in a rant about being sketched out about the heat lurking backstage. Haha. I walked over to Bassnectar who I am a pretty big fan of but walked back to SS because I thought that show was better. The Joy last fall was a blowout. So I've only seen them over the last 27 months or so. So I guess I never got bored by them, at least not so far.
I never realized that Voodoo doesn't allow Camelbak or any bladder type backpack to the festival. I bought one for Bonnaroo and it has changed my whole festival backpack/messenger bag outlook on life. I love mine, it is big enough to store everything you need, plus shit you buy, but still lightweight.
Last year was the first time that they offered free water. If that is the new trend, shouldn't camelbaks be allowed? The reason I bring this up is I noticed a petition on Voodoo's event page. I think that it is great idea, with free water being available there is no reason that we shouldn't be able to bring in empty camlebaks. I did check the FAQs and it clearly says to leave Camelbak or any bladder type backpack at home.

Wow really? I never even would have thought an all day 3-day festival wouldn't allow Camelbak's. I honestly didn't figure to bring one personally, just cause that would be one more thing to pack and also be kind of a B to carry around with the costumes. Not to mention we probably won't get there until late each day anyway. That said, I don't see any reason to ban them.

I always brought a messenger bag in the past, but never thought of it since there were no water stations. Last year was the first time that they offered free water, and I remember it was a bitch to carry around my bottle. I didn't have a camelbak until this year, so I didn't think about it. I think it is stupid not to allow them, if you are offering free water. Make the policy be that they have to be empty coming into the festival.

It was always available at some park water fountains to fill your bottle up as soon as you walked into the fest, before they downsized the footprint of the fest. They had to add those stations in 2014, because there was no free water options in 2013 and we all bitched. I don't like camelbaks because they make water taste like plastic, and I always just carry a 20oz plastic bottle in my back pocket to fill up. I signed the petition anyway though because I understand they're convenient for the folks that ride a rail all day.
Not offering free water is complete bullshit at a festival or any event with a ton of people. I think a promoter/fest could get sued big time and lose if someone fell out or had other problems, because it's criminally negligent to hold an event where there are that many people in the sun, let alone people that are drinking booze and doing other things.
Especially considering how serious they are getting with the mollyhead music, which is packed out with n00bert teenagers and young adults who don't know how to take care of themselves yet, it's really asking for trouble.
I still wish they would move back to the old location for the fest. =/

I just drank more beer last year but I'm one of these n00bert mollyheads you speak of, so I would at least expect my helicopter boomer parents to do the reasonable thing and sue the eff out of the organizers.

the free water was one of the only really positive moves voodoo's made in the past few years, aside from amping up Plur stage. the old location gave the festival a sorta original feel. the hills by the water and the track were some favorite spots
I saw PIL at FFF '12 and they were really good. I went by having gotten pissed off at John Lydon earlier that day. I waited in a line to get my poster autographed and his fuckboy manager 'wouldn't let him' sign my shit because I didn't pay for PIL merch (had a fest poster already signed by like 20 musicians). How punk rock of one of the Sex Pistols!
So, I'd wasted like 30 mins in line at this point and figured I'd at least shake the mans hand since he's a music legend (the manager tried to stop me from even getting a handshake) and then he deadpalmed me.
So I went through that and still enjoyed their show, so they had to be pretty good.
Halloween is f'n stacked for my tastes.

Peaches is also doing a late night show with Quintron at One Eyed Jacks on Halloween.
Some event called Hells Gala at the Sugar Mill as well (didn't realize that place was still going) No info on acts but it looks like some Republic/Bottle Service asshole type of deal.
Neon Indian also just got announced on 11/8 at Republic, I'll be at Skinny Puppy that night but Esteban, if you don't go to Puppy you would def enjoy Neon Indian live.
