I'll be there, but I'll be doing my best to tune out any of that bullshit new music they play.
Eh, I remain optimistic. Genghis Khan has grown on me and usually their deeper cuts end up being my favorites anyways.
I was about to reply that I hated the new song and would probably skip this but I gave it another listen and its... not that bad. Still not sure if I'll check them out if there up against Beach House or Death Grips but it gave me hope the new album might be good. They seem like a perfect candidate for one of the sideshows, If so I'd definitely get a ticket to that. May be I'll get lucky and they'll play In Search Of, a boy can dream!
LCD, M83, Foals, Jack U, Purity Ring, The Front bottoms, Louis The Child, Sufjan Stevens, Joey Badass, Underworld
GnR, Disclosure, Ice Cube, James Bay, Courtney Barnett, Run The Jewels, Vince Staples Moon Taxi, Halsey, A$AP Rocky
Flume, Beach House, Rancid, Miike Snow, Major Lazer, Death Grips, Sia, Joywave
ill prob get some hate for the order, but hey any suggestions?
Out of curiosity why is Jack U so high? I've seen them twice and their post-album live show is pretty generic. They have a part of every set where they pretend Diplo is dead and he lays down on the dj table, and Skrillex keeps looping the build up until you are loud enough to "bring him back to life". It's so gimmicky that you want to puke.

Saw them four times this year and that was basically just during the fall. First two sets in May and July were both different from that.

Going off of these names, I think you'd like... The Last Shadow Puppets (Alex Turner from Arctic Monkeys side project), 2manydjs, Bob Moses, The Arcs, Zhu, RUFUS DU SOL, Hudson Mohawke

Pre album the sets were great but now its all originals which isn't what I'm looking for. But if you like a Jack U album + Skrillex greatest hits + Diplo's greatest hits then you will enjoy it
Without really digging into the lineup much, my top 10 by day so far are
LCD Soundsystem, 2manydjs, Sufjan Stevens, Underworld, The Last Shadow Puppets, HEALTH, Foals, Savages, Parov Stelar, St Germain, Black Coffee
Guns N Roses, Rhye, Courtney Barnett, The Arcs, Run The Jewels (actually still haven't seen them), Vince Staples, Deerhunter, RL Grime, DJ Koze, Nina Kraviz
Kamasi Washington, Sia, Flume, Beach House, Maceo Plex, Death Grips, Nosaj Thing, Nathaniel Rateliff And The Night Sweats, Chris Stapleton, Hudson Mohawke... Sunday is the designated Despacio day for sure!

im an ignorant skrillex fan. he was the guy who got me into EDM. so during that part of the show I'm just gonna act like its not happening.

I don't think they've actually released music under the 2manydjs moniker. They're two out of the three members of the band soulwax, if you wanna check that band out, but the best way to get an idea of their show would just be to watch one or two on youtube... lightningdick already posted this but

Well, not really any original music, but there's As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pt. 2:

Here's a better question, instead of seeing Jack Ü for the Xth time why not try something rarer? If it's true they close the Main, you can bet bottom dollar Underworld will be in (a relatively empty) Sahara and it will kick ass

I'm completely oblivious to Coachella's scheduling patterns. Who is LCD likely to be conflicting with, and same question for GNR. How early would one likely need to get to the main in order to get a great spot?

As for the first question, no idea. You can usually expect a big name EDM act to conflict with the headliner, but even that's not set in stone. It's rare that a name on the second line will conflict with the headliner, but even that does happen. Honestly, it's a crapshoot.
As far as getting a good spot goes, it depends on the act. In 2013, I simply waited until Yeah Yeah Yeahs ended, then walked right up front for Blur. But I know that some headliners have crowds that wait for several sets in advance. There's no pit or anything, so you can just hang out if you want. If you REALLY want to get a good spot for an act, I'd recommend showing up a set in advance. But it also depends on the other acts playing - like, if LCD is opposed by Jack U or something, you'll probably be okay.
cool. It is reasonably safe to assume Jack U will oppose either LCD or Underworld then, and Jack U will be a bigger draw than either one? Cuz if for some fucking reason LCD and Underworld conflict....

Everything Juggs said is pretty spot on, unfortunately until set times come out (72 hours before roughly) there's just no way of knowing. It's safe to assume if you get there near the end of the act before you can get a decent spot. If you're trying to get rail, you'll probably want to camp out over an hour before they start.
The guy who is working on Jack Ü's stage says they are closing the main (I don't buy it) which would likely means something to the effect of Foals > LCD > Jack Ü on the main. Underworld will be closing, it's just a question of where. Best case is Sahara but I think Mojave is also on the table. Seeing as LCD > Underworld to close Friday is basically a coachella boardie wet dream it likely won't happen though.

Im terrified of Friday. Gotta see LCD, underworld, 2manydjs and my wife loves m83. I wanna see Sufjan but i dont trust him to not conflict with everything else. Throw in St Germain HEALTH and Black Coffee and something isnt making the cut
