Sunday: What: Childish Gambino (5:00-6:00) -> Robert Plant (7:00-8:30) -> Billy Joel (9:30-10:30) Which: Belle & Sebastian (8:00-9:30) This: Against Me! (5:45-6:45) -> Brandi Carlile (8:15-9:15) That: Bluegrass Situation SJ (7:00-9:00) Other: Gibbs/Madlib (5:45-6:45) -> Caribou (7:30-9:00)
Nothing is terrible here. Only bad thing for me is Friday night I'd have to cut myself in four for mmj vs flylo vs gramatik vs run the jewels. and i would be way too tempted to go for the pit for Kendrick
I really appreciate all of the feedback on my mock schedule, and I'm glad so many of you liked it. Feel free to keep the feedback coming as I'm updating it pretty regularly. Here are a few notes on some of the comments/questions made.
1. Glass Animals and Jungle as Thursday acts: I think I had one or both of them on Thursday at some point in this process but they just got moved around. Depending on the artist additions, they might very well go back to Thursday and I would then need to shift some others to earlier in the day.
2. I realize my Saturday LN is pretty crazy, but last year they did have Kaskade/Darkside/Glitch Mob all at the same time (and maybe Skrillex Superjam still going too?). I liked the suggestion for at least not having Flume conflict with Bassnectar so I moved Flume to an earlier slot and removed a LN after the Superjam (because Bonnaroo is known to just leave that vacant anyway).
3. A couple of comments about the Bluegrass TENT: I read the confirmed artists as people who will be a part of the Bluegrass SUPERJAM (not necessarily the tent throughout the whole day). Maybe others disagree with that, but I don't think there are enough hours in the day for them to squeeze in 6 acts PLUS the Superjam to close the tent (especially when they did 4 + SJ last year and 5 + SJ in 2013). I see Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn playing early on the What stage and Sturgill Simpson likely opening the Which on Sunday. That being said, I did change it up a bit to align a bit more with the announced Bluegrass Tent lineup. I now have Pokey LaFarge opening the Which on Sunday, while Shakey Graves and Sturgill Simpson move over to the Bluegrass Tent (that now has an additional time slot and looks more like 2013).
4. Swap Spoon with Ben Folds? Gambino daytime What instead of LN Which? ...I like both of these suggestions too, and I could see either or both happening. I'll keep them in mind as the pieces are moved in the weeks to come.
Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Tove Lo got a turning-to-nighttime Tent spot, having seen her perform before bc it is a very high energy, boppin' around type of vibe.

I agree with you on not having enough time in the day unless they start earlier/end later, but it would be kind of weird for them to list it as the Bluegrass Situation Stage only for the bands that they list to be playing it as playing on a different stage:
THE BLUEGRASS SITUATION STAGE AT BONNAROO 2015:
Shakey Graves Hurray for the Riff Raff Sturgill Simpson Bela Fleck and Abigail Washburn Punch Brothers Earls of Leicester The BGS SuperJam Hosted by Ed Helms and Friends
What happens if my tee shot lands on a bird's back and he carries it out of bounds but then is attacked by a larger bird who grabs the ball and drops it in the hole? Is that still a hole in one? 'Cause that's how I'm gonna play it.

Thanks for the link. I looked back to 2012, and That Tent actually started at 11:15am. With an early start and a couple of 45 minute sets, I was able to squeeze them all in there. I guess I'm just having a hard time seeing Billy Joel start as late as 10pm. That has to be past his bed time...

Here's one I put together with yellow highlighting what we more or less know from the Schedule Confirmation thread and red highlighting potential artist additions. I messed with it a lot today, but hopefully I didn't move any of the "known" dates for acts to the wrong days. Don't pay too much attention to the squares matching up with exact times. I didn't.
I'd love some feedback so I can tweak it further. Suggestions... 1. Act X is too big to play a tent. 2. Act Y won't get a Which/What spot. 3. Act Z isn't likely to be a LN act. 4. The link doesn't work. 5. You forgot the link.
1. Flying Lotus will either be on That or Which from his numbers and previous This Stage performance - MMJ / STS9 same night seems unlikely. So will it be STS9 during the day Saturday? Just a thought - Also MMJ closing Which a little later Friday vs. RTJ OR Saturday vs. the Superjam? Both seem like headaches but more likely - And then you have Bassnecter vs. Run The Jewels instead.
Random stuff - With all these conflicts... I want SBTRKT late but having a feeling that's an easily compromised position and daytime seems more and more likely. - Gramatik on Thursday night?
-Honestly Slayer before the Ham Sandwich that is Mumford sounds so fucking amazing

- As for MMJ and STS9 conflicting, I agree that it's not the most likely scenario but it wouldn't surprise me because STS9 will have to conflict with either Bassnectar or MMJ. So I think Friday will end up having either Flying Lotus or STS9 conflicting with MMJ. - I feel quite confident that MMJ and RTJ will conflict on Friday. - It would be serious dick move by Roo to give a SBTRKT another daytime slot after having done that to him last time. So I think SBTRKT is a pretty safe bet for a LN this year because they'll try to make up for giving him a daytime slot in 2012. - I'm hoping more and more that Slayer gets Which pre-HL instead of LN because it would kick so much ass and the conflicts most likely wouldn't be half as bad. Plus, all the teeny boppers would be trying to get a good spot for Mumford, giving the metal heads more space. But them also having BTBAM (and maybe Pallbearer) makes me think they may plan on doing another LN metal tent
I think it's very possible we get another LN metal tent, but I thought I'd be different (at least for now). As for FlyLo, the Schedule Confirmation Thread now has a link putting him on Friday. So I switched him with STS9, which lines up nicely with that suggestion! Of course I'll really need to shake up my LN schedule if there is, in fact, another metal tent...
Friday night LN is going to be the worst of all conflicts this year, calling it now. Every suggestion people have made has been shitty (as in, makes me sad, not shitty like illogical): RTJ v. FlyLo vs. MMJ, etc.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
Now that FlyLo got confirmed for Friday makes FlyLo vs. MMJ almost inevitable. The good news is that I'm thinking they'll make This Tent LN be RTJ > FlyLo, so you'll at least get to see RTJ but you'll have to still deal with the heart wrenching FlyLo/MMJ conflict that's sure to happen.
If that ends up being the case, I'm almost certainly doing RTJ>MMJ; mood-wise, I would rather go RTJ>FlyLo, but I haven't seen MMJ live before. I've heard all the stories. Don't want to miss them.

I'm right there with you but MMJ is the obvious choice for me because I've never seen them and Whoreshack made the rule, you do NOT miss MMJ on the farm

Honestly I liked your schedule so much that I completely stole it and made some adjustments of my own (mainly Tears For Fears and Kendrick being close together because they're my top two). Then I added some artist additions of my own....so I guess everyone can ignore those. I did it mostly for me and I highlighted them. docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AvrbGgm9eY-pdEVMWmVDRlZSeDU1di0yZGRRQXdyV1E&usp=sharing

Someone talked to members of MMJ after OBH andddd they said they aren't getting a LN slot, they indeed will be playing the What and it may be similar to what we got in 2011. I'm beginning to panic because I think it just might conflict (at least partially) with Tears for Fears. But, the optimistic side of me wants to pray that they'll make Saturday go: Tears for Fears -> MMJ -> Mumford so I can camp for tears and MMJ and then get a kickass spot for a LN

So wait if this is the case, who else could be a which LN act. Will it be Gambino into Bassnectar. And Tears for Fears into another EDM act. Or will there be a metal Which for Slayer- doubt this one. Just looking at who else would be a combo on which LN. I'm pretty sure every one here was salivating for an MMJ LN, I mean they are pretty high on the list. This is shocking. However, on the plus side it could eliminate some nasty LN conflicts like people were predicting. Wow where's that No No No cat.....ouch.

The MMJ news makes me think that there is a chance of not having a LN Which on Friday. Mau5 will start anywhere from 11-12 on the What, and he would just be the stage LN for Friday. I can't quite remember, but I don't think there was a Which LN on the Friday in 2009 when Phish played the What from 11-2. And I know for sure that for some reason there wasn't a LN Which after Radiohead in '12, so it's not like they haven't done it before.
As much as I wanted Jacket LN, if this keeps them from conflicting with that potential RTJ > FlyLo LN tent, I can totally be down with it.

That's what I'm thinking, no LN which on Friday and only one on Saturday (maybe two)

If there's no LN which on Friday, then that means that after Deadmau5, there would be no LN which EDM action. Which would then place Bassnectar on Sat, making Pollstar wrong as we assumed earlier.

Fuck! I just saw that Spoon will play Sunday, making a Spoon vs. Caribou conflict likely. Not to mention Robert Plant and the Bluegrass SJ as well, Fuck! Why is the Sunday pre-headliner conflict always a motherfucker? I'm pretty much resigned to the fact that roo can continue to bring back the Bluegrass SJ, but I'll never get to see it cuz they always schedule 3-4 bands I want to see more at the same time. Not that I'm a huge bluegrass fan, but it be cool to see at least once.

I really don't think Bassnectar will play right after Deadmau5, no matter what Pollstar says. But, hey, I could be wrong. Idc either way, I will not be at deadmau5 and I highly doubt I'll be at Bassnectar (due to conflicts)
