Or, you know, people have different perspectives and life experiences than you that enables her music to speak to them. Honestly, I find her music and performances to be very strange and I don't know that I necessarily "get it" or whatever. To be honest, I kind of poked fun at her performance in the beginning. After spending some time with her music, I will say that I find it interesting because it's challenging for me to listen to and that is kind of refreshing. Would I listen to her when I'm relaxing after work? No, probably not - but I recognize that she makes music that challenges listeners to rethink what they define as music. Just writing something off as garbage seems a little simple minded to me. That's my two cents.

This is the kind of music that pisses me off because people out there are really trying to be all cool thinking they should appreciate this crap, when there are so many other acts that could be getting recognized. Death Grips is the same for me. This has nothing to do with my opinions on Kendrick and Sbtrkt. Kendrick I misjudged a bit too quickly because everyone else was hyping it so quickly, and Sbtrkt just isnt for me. This girl is crap though. Anyone who likes this probably "Can't eat Gluten" either, and not because they have Celiacs, it's just because they are "that" person.

I don't think this girl is crap, and I love the shit out of gluten. You seem to be too concerned about what kind of image liking a certain type of music gives you. Her fan base is probably very diverse.

No one cares if you like or dislike certain music. The point is you disliking something doesn't make it bad. Death Grips are one of my favorite groups and I don't care if you don't like them but that doesn't mean people that DO enjoy them are just pretending, so they appear cooler (although you disliking one of my favorite groups makes me happy). This forum with like 50 of the 90000 people at roo, i'm really not concerned. I have my friends and my group I always meet up with, and my Bonnaroo chick now, who trust me, is all I need. I just find everyone here just as amusing as you find me, the way everyone blows up things I say making it seem like I said we should kill someone or something. Seriously, like me mentioning Deadmaus and the Prince thing in the artist additions forum. I know its not the reason they put him there but it could be one small factor, it's not totally absurd for everyone to go batshit crazy on me, thinking i'm smoking crack or whatever. So, basically for as ridiculous as I may sound, everyone else here acts just the same, so nothing anyone on here says or does can really affect me, I juts find it funny.
