I was thinking at the end of the game how I can see the fan base taking a sharp turn against Jones if they don't beat Florida. People don't want moral victories anymore. Also, most of the blame for that loss is on coaching. Lots of bad choices.

The decision to take a knee with :40 left and 2 timeout reminded me of the Duds against Mizzou in 2011. Jones reminding me of the Duds is a very bad thing.

dobbs didn't look confident at all in the second half, and for having such a talented group of receivers, we didn't target them very often. I would have liked to see some more shots down field, and Kamara to get more touches. He was electric against bowling green and he only got like 4 or 5 touches. I don't get it. and bad penalties on defense that kept OU drives alive, and bad penalities on offense that killed our momentum.
I love KT21, but Coach Mac is not putting up with that shit. Throat slashing as a form of celebration is not a smart move. Not liking the reason, but I love seeing a coach with emotion. He so pissed he can even get his words out correctly. Fired up, Funk yeah! And for anybody who might say this coach is wrong, or out of line, It should be noted KT probably got a greater verbal lashing from his dad later that night. KT is a smart and good kid, he has already tweeted his love and respect for Coach Mac. I am excited for KT21 and excited for UF. /video/1

It took me a moment or two to think of this myself, but I am surprised at how little the loss of Maggitt is getting brought up in Saturday's loss. The guy is the leader for the defense and is first team All-SEC this year. You could see how the defense took a drop starting as soon as he got hurt even though the points didn't roll in until later.

I watched the video, and I don't think McElwain was out of line at all (I heard worse from my freshman football coach). Stupid penalties like that can cost your entire team the game. I'm betting the player got the message.

Last week, I posted it on Tuesday, so you're getting a little excited there. I was busy last night and left for an out of town work trip this morning. I haven't really even looked at it aside from knowing Tennessee is at 27 in one poll which is about right and Clemson cracked the top 10 in one poll which is also about right.

I agree and that was his point. Defense was not playing well and I think ECU did score on their next possession.

The way Louisville is losing reminds me of some past Clemson teams. So I've definitely been there (but I don't think we ever started 0-3). It really sucks when you know you have the talent and you keep losing close games. I'm just happy to get out of there with a win. I figured I had to pick 2 games for us to lose this year and that was one of them. We didn't look great but we got the win, so I'm feeling good.
The last two minutes were pretty awful by both teams.
It was a frustrating game. One of those games where you're dominating statistically but the game is still close and then you almost lose. It could have been worse. We could have actually lost. We've done that plenty of times before in these situations.
