OK, here's my thought on the playoff scenario:
1. Alabama (in with a win) 2. Clemson (in with a win) 3. Oklahoma (in) 4. Big Ten winner
5. Stanford (in with a win and loss by Alabama or Clemson) 6. UNC (in with a win and Alabama loss, or a win and Stanford loss) 7. Big Ten loser (depends on how game ends, could get in with losses by Alabama, Clemson, and Stanford, would get in over OSU) 8. Ohio St (needs Sparty blowout win, losses by Alabama, Clemson, Stanford)
bacon can breathe easy now. I am gonna laugh my balls off if they hire Muschamp.
Even better he was interviewed, offered the job, and turned them down.
I do wonder what the stumbling block was. I can't see him taking the interview without having some interest in the position. They might have lowballed him on money or not been willing to let him control certain aspects of the program.

Or just decided he liked it more here?
You would think after the Michigan fiasco he is going to need the perfect situation before he leaves another place where he has pretty clear support from the AD and fans.
Also that MSU drive and especially that final play.
Holy shit
Sparty is a dangerous team especially down the stretch.
Eh, really not sure what to think about them. The never lead OSU or Michigan in regulation, and none of their other victories have been particularly impressive. They keep winning, so they deserve a go at the playoffs, but it seems like their luck is gonna run out.

I hate to make a point in analyst speak but you have to watch out for teams that find a way to win. Don't forget that both Michigan and Ohio State were away games and Ohio State was with Cook injured. I agree with you that they're not amazing on paper though.
I saw today that offsides on a kick is actually a reviewable play. Very nice.
It appears South Carolina is actually hiring Muschamp. Insert "we suck again" gif here.

Also, who do people have for the Heisman? I feel like it's a three horse race between Henry, Watson and McCaffrey. I usually wouldn't give McCaffrey a chance but setting a new record for single season all purpose yards is quite the bullet point on the resume.

Well, Henry is unbeatable in the "plays for Bama" metric so I suspect he wins, but I really don't get people ignoring Dalvin Cook. Lots of deserving candidates this year, couldn't one of them have done this in any of the past few years when there were really no deserving candidates?

Looks like everyone jumped the gun in making their playoff predictions. Guess the committee wanted to make a statement about conference championship games.

Well, the Big 10 is overrated.
Everyone said that last year before Ohio St stomped out the competition in the playoffs. More in regards to my post, I was referring more to that the Big 12 didn't have an official championship game this year. Throughout the season, many speculated on how this could impact their champion when it came time for the playoffs since they didn't have that +1 victory over respectable competition. It appears that the committee gave a lift to Michigan State because of it when they jumped them over Oklahoma despite Michigan State's last game being the narrow victory over Iowa while Oklahoma kicked the fuck out of Oklahoma State.
Regardless of what it was, people need to remember that, even if they had gotten the ball, they would have had to score a touchdown and two point conversion to send it to overtime. That's not exactly something that could be a considered a gimme.
