Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Agreed - I signed up, poked around for a while, figured out the general atmosphere and looked into old threads before posting my questions. I was met with literally zero aggression; everyone was incredibly helpful and I'm greatly appreciative of that.
In all reality, as long as my first Bonnaroo isn't somehow a catastrophic failure for me, I've got a feeling this forum alone will be a major factor in my coming back to Roo for several years to come.
It also helps that your name is shitstroll and you have a goat in your avatar.

I'm sorry if you feel that this community is full of jerks and assholes...I'm still newer to the community, but it's really not like that at all.
What everyone is trying to make you realize is that going to Bonnaroo ALONE at the age of 16 is really not a good idea. Especially if you're having to get there by grabbing a ride from a random person. Everyone matures at different times in their lives, but thinking back to when I was 16, I would have been so lost. Even when I was 19 or 20, it wouldn't have been a good place for me, especially alone. It was overwhelming when I went the first time at the age of 26, haha. I know it sounds fun and like a great experience...and it is, when you're old enough to take it on. Dapple in something closer to home! Go to a one day festival a few times so you can get a feel of what the festival scene is like before you tackle something like Bonnaroo. There are a lot of good people at Bonnaroo and a lot of good things going on all the time...but with 80,000+ people gathered for 4-5 days, there are always going to be bad eggs out there too, and bad things going on. It's just the reality of the situation.
Whatever you decide to do, I wish you nothing but the best.

The actual "jerkoffs" here are few and far between. Someone like Phi might give new posters a hard time, but it's usually in jest, and almost never malicious. Also, remember that this is an internet forum for a music festival of all things. If someone gets offended on here, it's usually because that person is way too sensitive and takes what other people say way too seriously.
I guess I'm just a little biased towards Phi due to his incessant trolling and whatnot.
This was my first comment in this thread. Please tell me how in the world you view this as incessant trolling.

Seemed blunt and straight to the point to me? Best help you can get imo.
I was referring to inforoo in general. Not this thread.
Ahhhhh. So basically you're just saying my numerous "LINEUP IS OUT" posts in the Firefly thread? Which we all know was just to poke fun at the ongoing situation. Real talk, if you lightened up a bit and stuck around a little longer, you'll learn to love this place. And its incessant trolls.

Yes you're lineup is out joke had me laughing the first time. But when it was numerous times and in numerous threads, it got old really quick. I've been around for a little over a year, and I do love this place honestly. I suppose I do owe you a thanks though since your website is what led me to discovering Inforoo.

It's all part of my evil plan. I use Festival Snobs to lure you here, then attack.

Seriously mad props to you on that website. Whenever I fall behind on here and can't make it through page after page that's the first place I go.
One thing I know for a fact from my one yearish on inforoo, is that in most cases, when a new person comes in and asks anything, they are almost immediately mocked by somebody like Phi. It's not friendly and it's not welcoming and it's not what Bonnaroo is all about.
A lot of the time it depends on what they ask and how they're asking and what they're general attitude seems to be from the start. Also, if they make it clear that they didn't even attempt to look around the forum before asking. It can get annoying at times when a new person signs up and creates a new thread in the wrong section asking when artist additions are likely to happen and who we want to see when there are relevant threads with discussion and answers that they overlook.
Every year we get tons of people who sign up just to post their one question in the wrong section that's already been answered elsewhere and then leave and never come back or respond to their thread. Sometimes the jokes and first posts to a brand new poster are more of a feeling out process. Plenty of new folks have no problems getting help on here.
I have to agree with this. I think a few of my first posts were made fun of in my initial week or so on here, but then I picked up on how most people are just being playful and sarcastic - which I like to be too - and I haven't had a problem since. I also didn't take it personally when it did happen... no one on here seems to be out to make others feel bad about themselves. Not that I've seen anyhow. But the vetting process, and getting annoyed when the same post surfaces over and over again by posters who haven't taken the time to check out how the site functions - I get why both happen. And new posters should too.
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.
And your sig gives me an erection every god damn time.
I'm not surprised justin timberlake has that effect on you.
but seriously, I can't stop thinking about pizza. and I forgot my leftover buffalo chicken pizza at home and now I am sad.
That damn buffalo chicken pizza you put on Snapchat looked fucking delicious. Nothing like the crap Papa Johns tries to peddle here as Buffalo Chicken.

I felt like it was lacking chicken, though. This place by my job has these huge cubes of awesome chicken on their buffalo chicken pizza that are delicious. It makes up for the fact that they soak the entire pizza in too much hot sauce

holy fuck, it was delicious. best buff chicken pizza I've found around here. I tried pizza hut's buffalo chicken a few months ago... it was so bad. I ate like 2 slices.
and itrainmonkeys - I would agree on the chicken point. I mean, you can't see all of the chicken because there's just SO MUCH CHEESE on the pizza, but it could use a few more pieces. but it was the perfect balance of hot sauce & crust.
Oh yeah, coming from Fort Thomas Kentucky, right next to Cincinnati. Message me if you're interested or whatever
I actually do come through the Cinci area, from Akron. And my van is always well stocked with candy and puppies. And wine coolers, for me, of course, because that's what every normal, straight 30-something year-old man drinks. Just ask Chris Handsome Hansen. Please be careful, even on Inforoo, where some of the nicest, most caring people in the world hang out.
Edit: the "Ricky Rides" or whatever thread in This Tent may be helpful. Some people find rides through that, though I must admit I have no experience with it. Ride sharing talk seems to ramp up a lot more as Roo gets closer.
