Dammit... Jukely didn't include the King Gizzard show Friday. I was justifying all these shows because they're "free". Now this isn't "free" and I'm trying to decide if i should still go or not.... It's only $14 after fees. UGH! WHAT DO I DOOOOOOO?
You go to King Gizzard.
I'm leaning that way.
edit: wait, Rothric.... is this show this Friday the 4th or next Wednesday the 9th??? It's listed on Jukely as being on the 9th. THERE IS STILL A CHANCE!
finally got the app to work right. gonna sign up after the weekend and hope to grab a Moon Taxi ticket for the 11th and then a long 2 month run of shows after. this is going to be such a moeny saver even doing the 2 tickets bcuz i can just charge a guest 20 bucks

It's the 9th. I spaced earlier and thought it was the 4th.
So ya, you need to go! Shit tickets are only $12 even if it's not on Jukely...
There are a lot of shows that just got released for Friday. Curious what gets released for Saturday, as I might be able to go to a show then. Was hoping Gwar or Motorhead would pop up on the unlimited the other day, but no such luck.

I know, nothing I'm really interested in. I have class at 9:30am on Thursdays, a Wednesday night show is gonna be rough for me.. But I do want to go, which means I'll probably end up going. I'm hoping Purity Ring shows up tomorrow with the Saturday shows.

Oh, that would be nice. I'll definitely grab a Purity Ring one if they're there. Those will go quick though, if they are. Got my alarm set for 11! But won't you be at Utopia on Saturday?
Shit, class at 9:30's nothing. The show will probably be over by midnight. You can be in bed by 1 without question, and get 7 hours of sleep.
You'd see me at this show even if I were working the next day. That would mean I'd have a 3 hour drive back to my work site to start a 12 hour shift at 6am. So maybe an hour of sleep. The point being, don't miss King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard!

You're rather convincing..
And I ended up getting my first day of work finally, it's Sunday morning. So no Utopia fest In lieu of that we're doing Purity Ring Saturday instead. And yea, I also have my alarm set for 11am tomorrow. Fingers crossed we both get a ticket (and that it's listed in general).

King Gizz is Monday for me. The show won't start until 10pm. I won't get home until 1am at the absolute earliest. I will then get up at 5am to go to work so kindly shut the fuck up about your 9:30am class.

Just a warning to you and Rothric - I kind of doubt PR is gonna show up on Unlimited. I mean of course it must vary city to city in terms of what is available for Unlimited Passes, but I really wouldn't bank on something like Purity Ring being snaggable for free via Jukely. If it is though, that'd be awesome for you guys!

Oh for sure, I'm not expecting it by any means, definitely a long shot. Just being ready in case they do. Austin has been getting some fairly large shows on Jukely from time to time. I know they just had Kelly Clarkson in the new 15k amphitheater a week or so ago.
I'd absolutely LOVE to see the behind the scenes stuff at Jukely. How they determine how many passes per show, what they're paying the promoter, how fast everything gets claimed, etc. Just all of the logistics of it.
And I noticed they changed the name from "Unlimited" to "Jukely Pass" now. Think that's a little better. I always found the "unlimited" tag to be fairly confusing for what it is.
I'm thought Jukely was only giving away tickets to the big shows that were not selling well or hadn't sold out.
Not at all. It's much more small shows then big shows, but big shows can show up. But I think it really does very city by city. Because it's going to vary with Jukely's relationship to each venue/promoter in the city.
They have it in Dallas now, you should check it out.
Definitely a great way to get exposed to new bands. I saw they had Mutoid Man the other day, but couldn't make it work due to schedule.

Yeah, I knew they had a some type of promotional deal and had lots of smaller shows available. I just assumed something like Kelly Clarkson or an arena show showing up would be due to poor sales. And Purity Ring would be a show in high demand, so I can't see them giving tickets away unless the show was somehow underselling. Dallas is kind of a far drive for me to be making during the week for shows currently. I'll do it for something I'm really pumped about.
I have gotten tickets to both sold out shows and expensive shows but they are not as common as the small club show with tix still available at the box office. I have also seen Purity Ring via Jukely.
I thought there had been a few sold out shows in Austin as well, but wasn't 100%.
I bet they pony up and pay a bit more for some of the sold out show passes. But it helps them in the long run, because people see it's a possibility and then either sign up/stay signed up. Helps them create a little buzz. And I bet the promoter knows it's good to give a few to sold out shows too, because it helps drive attendance to their smaller shows through Jukely as well.

Same same! gah I would love to work for Jukely. I practically already do work as their promoter....just don't get paid for it. I've told so many people to get it hahaha.

I'm trying to get tickets for Sturgill Simpson at The Jefferson on the 16th, it's sold out. I just downloaded the app and made an account. They have the show listed (as all shows at The Jefferson), but whenever I click "buy" it takes me to the sold out page from The Jefferson's website.
If I used the paid monthly service, could I get tickets for the show?
So has anyone done the "Extended View" for Jukely?
I wonder if they put the full allotment of passes up at first, so that they can all be claimed before the normal 2-day period. Or if they have a certain number available ahead of time for the extended, but keep a few for the 2-day.

Yeah I upgraded to extended view. I think they save some allotment for the regular release, too. Chris Brown was "all claimed" but then more seats were released today with the normal release.
No, I'm not going to Chris Brown. Thanks anyways though, Juke.

You get to see the shows available for the Jukely Pass (used to be called "Unlimited") 5 days in advance instead of 2 days. If you pay for a full year upfront ($350, so $29/month) you get to see 6 days in advance.
I should clarify, you're able to claim those passes 5 or 6 days earlier, not just see them. However, according to GardenFresh, it looks like they do hold over at least a few passes for the 2 day crowd.
Would like to know what percentage of passes are made available to the advance crowd.
On topic, it looks like I can't use Jukely without an iphone? Is this true?
No. I have Android. But maybe their app is only for the iPhone. I've just logged into the website on my browser to check in and had no issues. [/quote]
Ok, I have a windows phone. I know I can't do a lot of apps on there. Thinking about doing this but I don't want to do it if it won't work on my phone.

so does the extended view cost more than 25 a month? wanna make sure im understanding how this thing works.
Yes. Normal 2 day view is $25/month, 5 day view is $35/month, 6 day view is $350/year ($29/month). If you go to your settings area in Jukely's website, it gives you the different subscription options.

What city are you looking at? I don't see any VA cities listed as Jukely Pass cities.
Assuming you are looking at a city that has Jukely Pass, no one can tell you what will be available before, at most, 6 days in advance (see posts above).
Even if you are looking at a Jukely Pass city, I'd still have to assume the answer is no. While Jukely will offer some passes to sold out shows, it is definitely the exception and not the norm. I wouldn't get the sub based on that hope. Hope that helps.
ahh got ya, thanks that makes sense. i wanna get 2 tix so ill prbob stick with the 2 day unless it becomes a problem getting tix but im always available at 11am to get on it right away so i should be alright. the cool thing is this could allow to to unload or even profit off some of the tix i already have, highly doubt Disclosure shows up but it would be awesome if it did with me having 2 tix for it.
