Outstanding festival. This was my first MidPoint experience, and I will aboslutely be returning. Whoever curated this lineup needs to be commended. Every band i saw was tremendous. I left the Bully show wanting to follow them around the country--they're THAT good. Picking highlights is tough, becasue everyone I saw was good (except Purity Ring, who I thought was really run-of-the-mill), but I'll give it a shot.
MY FAVORITE SHOWS: Bully Moon Duo Sylvan Esso Caspian Aero Flynn Lydia Loveless All Them Witches NO/NO
Worth mentioning: Cool band called Moira played a pop-up show at Black Plastic Records on Sunday evening. Really intimate and fun experience; I'll be seeing them again for sure.
Wonderful fest in a cool city. A+
*If anyone from MidPoint reads this, add some coffee tents next year. I've found coffee is a borderline necessity on Sundays of a 3 day fest.
The guy that books the festival owns a few venues in OTR, if you're a local (or ever around). Check out MOTR and the Woodward Theater. Free live music every night at MOTR.
And next year just check out Coffee Emporium on Central Parkway.

I think next year I'm gonna try to hit up more of this festival. I've been the past two years but only on one night to catch a few acts. Last year I saw Dessa and Why? and this year I did Aero Flynn & Sylvan Esso. Seems like it could be fun to hit up the different venues though!
