Heard this from a pretty reliable source. If it ends up happening I doubt I'll be able to get in because I want to see the whole Superjam. If this leaks out the line to get in will be ridiculous, especially with nothing else going on at that time. Security will prob have to be tight on this to prevent it from getting out of control.

Wasn't there a rumor that Cherub was playing two secret shows? If this is one, then I would think there is still another one that hasn't been announced.

Phyre Fest said it the it was robe rage and a silent disco set if I remember correctly.

Yeah if this turns out to be true, 2 years in a row having Big Gigantic on the farm with no announced Big Gigantic set, would be very frustrating.

Robe Rage Story Time: RR was set for 3-4am Saturday, so we get to Snake & Jakes at 2 and there is NO LINE. So we check out Flume for 30 min then back to the line. By this time there are a few people in line but no robes, were about to walk in but the security informs us that if we're doing RR we need to wait because the current show is about to end and we'll be asked to leave and would have to get in the back of the line for RR. no problem, so we wait. About this time people start showing up and my gf decides to take over the line since security is letting robes in (reminder: they're going to lose their place in line). Purple Robe Czar shows up and is a stickler about robes ("does it have pockets? then it's a robe, robes only my babies"). They finally let us in at 3:30, show doesn't start til after 4. As i'm holding onto the rail, 4 people come out to a FULL STAGE SET UP, I'm talking bongos, drums, backup mics, the whole shebang. Then the 4 ppl start playing technically tight, good music but I don't recognize it. Fuck, maybe this is EWF or STS9 with a scaled-down band?! it was jammy, funky. 45 min into the set I leave to ask Purple Robe Czar who the hell this is, and he says "fuck, i don't know, Browneyes from Austin?" Turns out it was Brownout. Like I said, they were technically sound and tight musically, but I left and went to party with Cherub on the Kallicope Stage until sun up. I think everyone wanted a DJ set, but we got Brownout.

Roo def dropped the ball on this one. The band never introduced themselves and most of the crowd was lost from the start. With the amount of energy coming from Superjam, Flume, Bassnectar, and the Kalliope it was a shame that we got Brownout? After setting the bar so high with Chromeo last year this was a serious disappointment, probably my biggest disappointment of the weekend.
