Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I expect part of my drive down will be catching up on a few podcasts (I have 8 episodes in iTunes now, plus another one or two will come out between now and when I leave, minus some that I'll get through by Monday).
Musically, it'll be ping-ponging between things I'm excited to see at 'Roo (MMJ, Billy Joel, D'Angelo, RTJ, MSMW, Jungle, Iceage), good driving music, and new music from April-May-June (that doesn't already fit into the above categories).
I think I need to fit in some stuff to solidify my schedule (I need to pick among Unlocking the Truth, Strand of Oaks, Ryn Weaver, Dej Loaf and DMA's; I also need to pick among among all the things between 12:30 and 3:30 Saturday)
What will you be listening to? (And how much travel time do you need to fill?)
I have a weird superstition about listening to artists I'm going to see so there will be no Bonnaroo artists on my playlist.
Probably some podcasts but I'm traveling with someone else so I'll have to play that one by ear. Forcing someone else to listen to what's essentially talk radio isn't always the most polite thing, I suppose. Hopefully there'll be some podcasts that we're both interested in.
I will clock in at around 14 hours plus the line when it's all said and done. I'm packing a lot of entertainment. Four CDs with Roo music only, a couple of my favorite albums, a few full length DJ mixes and some stand up to tie the whole collection together. I find stand up is a fun way to mix it up from the music without going to all the way to talk radio.

In 2006 me and some friends were driving from Long Island to New Jersey to see Pearl Jam, twice actually. My car was old and a real piece of shit, the radio didn't work and the Blind Melon self titled album was stuck in the cd player. We listened to that album probably 7 times on the two round trip journeys, because its better to have background music than nothing at all. Ever since then all road trips to concerts or festivals include one playing of that album.

I have The Who's Tommy, Rush-Moving Pictures and 2112 for those times I need tunes to assist. Other times whatever Sirus/XM gives me I will work with
Edit-I also don't like to listen to bands I am going to see so no Roo acts intentionally.
Yay! I'm not the only one. I will say that when I've got RadioRoo on as I near Manchester I consider it part of the festival and won't change it if festival artists are playing.

On a particularly awesome Phish run a few years ago we listened to Fess's "Crawfish Fiesta" about a dozen times. Great record.
I'm by far the most musically knowledgeable one of my group and I'm preparing multiple options for them to choose between.
I have a 200-song playlist of Roo artists, a playlist of great road music, and then some select non-Roo albums listed below that I'm hoping we play in part or in full. We'll probably put on a Grateful Dead show at some point too. All in all it will probably come out to be an 18 hour drive. Me and my brother are heading down from MA and meeting our other brother and his friend in DC. That's about 7 and a half hours or so and then after a break, we'll make the 10 hour journey from there to Roo.
Albums:
Donnie Trumpet and the Social Experiment - Surf Tame Impala - Live Versions Father John Misty - I Love You, Honeybear Ryan Adams - Cold Roses St. Vincent - s/t First Aid Kit - Stay Gold Dispatch - All Points Bulletin Lady Lamb - After Sleater Kinney - No Cities to Love The Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed Chadwick Stokes - Simmerkane II Led Zeppelin - s/t O.A.R. - Any Time Now The Lone Bellow - s/t Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense
Just jamming some of the newer Bonnaroo discoveries this year and getting familiar with them. We only have a 5 hour ride thankfully. If you haven't listened to Jungle's full length I highly recommend it.
I've been obsessively listening to King Gizzard, The Woods & Dopapod for the past few weeks until last night when I found the following video. Si I'll probably listen to this song at least 20 times on my trip.
Gonna make a playlist of songs only from bonnaroo this year to get me pumped. I would be lying if I said I hadn't already made a spotify playlist for the road.
Heading to the 2015 Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival?! WE HAVE SOMETHING FOR YOU! Yes, YOU! Introducing The Unofficial 2015 B.L.A.M. My flight leaves Dallas around 8 Thursday morning . I'd rather sleep on the flight so I'd have more energy for that night but I know I'll be too anxious. I'm taking the shuttle too. Maybe I'll see you at BNA.

We've got around a 17 hour drive...so there will definitely be lots of music but we're also hoping to find some good podcasts, stand up, maybe some audio books, stuff that will pass the time quicker. Any recommendations??
