I certainty do not think Is This It is overrated. I'm sure it'll probably lose its magic when I get older and figure life out, though
Are you a real person? "When I get older and figure life out." Who the fuck talks like that? Jesus Christ, it's pretension wrapped in some bullshit faux-existential post-teen nonsense. "Figure life out." Give me a goddamn break.

Can't hate on that. That record for me is The Suburbs. It just sounds/feels like growing up and figuring shit out.
This is gonna sound like a way bigger dick comment than I mean it to be (YOLO), but you needed to listen to The Suburbs in order to grapple with the heavy themes The Suburbs?
"Suburban life is cold a meaningless, man. Look at all this spraaaaawl."
Sure, some of the songs are a little silly but that album came out right as I graduated college and just clicked with me. And I was a stupid kid for quite a while so no excuses there.
Back to the point: I think 10,000 days is really underrated.
People shouldn't be allowed to speak in public until they're at least 25 years old. There should be aptitude tests or something.
I feel like whatever I say is going to be wrong here, but, when saying "figure life out" I mean decide on a career, get married, start a family, etc. Not like figure out why I'm on this planet or anything.

I think they just want you to quit one more time before Bonnaroo begins.

I'm not even angry right now, just confused. Is This It is about being a young adult and not understanding relationships, having a hard time relating with adults but feeling too old to do kid's things, stuff like that. All I was saying is when I'm in my late 20s or early 30s and that stuff doesn't apply to me anymore, I won't be able to relate to it as much therefore it'll lose its Magic.
This thread sucks and is mean spirited. Couldn't be bothered to read all 5 pages. Excuse me while I ignore the fact that Mumford is playing on what stage and rest up at camp
Tool is too big for What Stage. That would be a clusterfuck. Their popularity has not dwindled since 2007. The comeback would only increase their popularity.
They should put each band member on a different stage to disperse the crowd
Then turn every stage up as loud as possible. That would be awesome.

There was also a thread that said MMJ wouldn't headline in 2015.. they didn't technically headline, but they basically co-headlined Saturday... They had just as much time as Mumford and played during "headliner hours".
So there's still a chance. This thread means nothing to me until January/February rolls around and its official.
As someone who doesn't think he has ever listened to Tool, where is a good place to start?

Thank you! I grew up with crazy Christian parents so I've was deprived of good music for the first 20 years of my life lol. I've ended up missing a lot. I've been doing my own thing for 3 years now and I feel like I find new music I love every day! I never even cared about music growing up because I was restricted to Christian contemporary shit. After seeing how much awesome stuff is really out there, I can say with a lot of confidence that music is one of the best parts of being alive haha. Sorry to ramble, I just don't want to look stupid for not being in the know. I'll listen to this when I get home later tonight

Y'all suck, my '20 years old and maybe one day I'll figure shit out' record was You Forgot It In People. Interspersed with bits of Exile on Main St because when you're 20, the party shouldn't stop for long enough for you to realize what the party's doing to your life. That's what Exile's for. "Plug in flush out and fire the fuckin feed"

Other records of note: basically just LCD but that shit's good forever. You grow into it, not out of it, which is tough enough when you're already into it to begin with
You don't want Tool to play but shit yourself with excitement at the thought of The Strokes? Jesus Christ. What happened in your childhood to make you such a horrible human being?
Is This It is the perfect record encompassing what it's like being a 20 year old young adult. I can relate to that record more than any other record

i'm so sorry for you
I like the record a lot, it's gotta be the best set of bar songs in ages. I can definitely relate to some of the songs every now and then in a goofy kind of way

Puscifer are getting ready to release their third studio album, Money Shot, and embark on a 2015 North American tour. ... As for the eternal question of Tool‘s new album, Maynard comments, “I write lyrics and melodies to music. If I don’t have music, I can’t.”
