I would not count the Avetts out at all. They'll be somewhere the 9,10 and 11th but have Sunday open then have to be in OK on the 16th. They could totally still be there plus they've been at Roo every 2 yrs since 2006 and have been very vocal about their love of the fest.
I could easily see them doing a Sunday evening set. Preheadliner slot? I absolutely wouldn't count them out. They can do a show in MN on Saturday and totally be in TN by Sunday afternoon no problem.

that does sound reasonable. i never listen to them, but i've caught them twice at festivals and enjoyed it

Bad news. It's not like Bonnaroo is suddenly going to ignore nu-Americana or whatever, and OM&M were among the better acts in that genre. Lumineers are in, I wonder who else is going to be suspendering away this year?

Oh, no - I'd take Lumineers and OM&M over most of the rest. Just wondering who is going to hop on there now.
