The reason Coachella is better than Lollapalooza is the ratio of terrible bands is much smaller.
Sure, there is questionable stuff at Coachella such as Ellie Goulding, Halsey, James Bay, 1975 and Calvin Harris - to knock out the big ones. But the undercard is rock solid. There is a much bigger list of arguably BAD music on that Lollapalooza list.
Lolla has great acts, no question. Radiohead is always a huge get. But man, there is some garbage on that poster.
It's all subjective, but I hate Coachella's lineup this year. Out of the 150+ acts, there are 43 that I want to see but 71 that I won't go to whatsoever.
Favorite Bands: Kelly Clarkson, Kina Grannis, Tyrone Wells, Anna Nalick, Jay-Z, Keane, ZZ Ward, Lenka, Kanye West, Missy Higgins, Carrie Underwood, Chvrches, Alt-J, Cults, Ne-Yo, Sara Evans, The Head and The Heart, ARORA, Kacey Musgraves, Maybe April, Imagine Dragons, Halsey, Christina Perri, Trevor Hall, Adele, Meg Myers, Taylor Swift, All-4-One, Boyz II Men, Of Monsters and Men, P!nk, The Killers, Kendrick Lamar, The Fray, Walk The Moon, Arctic Monkeys, Fitz & The Tantrums, Sara Bareilles...

Thursday - I'd go with Last Shadow Puppets, but good spot at LSP vs Danny Brown vs Yeasayer vs Bob Moses is the most painful choice in your entire schedule.
Friday - decisions are easy cause I am pretty certain I'll be camped at Samsung all day if it really goes Foals > M83 > Radiohead
Saturday - not a single real conflict for me but enough to be happy throughout the day. Only thing is I'd possibly leave Jane's Addiction slightly early to get a little better spot at Grimes
Sunday - good spot at LCD vs seeing Vince Staples & Die Antwoord is not a decision I want to have to make either
Didn't want to start a new thread but I tried searching and nothing came up. Is there a Riot Fest 2016 thread yet? Reason I bring it up is Deftones just announced their full tour that extends through August now and there isn't a Chicago date on there. I'd imagine they're a sure thing for Riot Fest now.

Sweettttttt, I'll probably end up doing Yeasayer but idk about any of the others, think I'd rather save the money

Yeah, I'd basically have those exact conflicts. Yeasayer is supposedly playing an aftershow at the Concord on Wednesday night, and I've seen Danny three times already but I'd probably pick him again if he's got the new album out (assuming I see the Yeasayer aftershow).
Vince Staples is the toughest for me. I absolutely love Vince, but I have had the worst luck. He was in my city once just before Christmas when I had to go out of town for a xmas party with fam and then he came back in March but I had an exam that night. BUT LCD is more important to me, so I think I'd need to commit to getting a decent spot. I don't mind Flume, so it wouldn't be so bad.
When do they usually announce after shows? I am sure we are a couple months off from it but I was just wondering because I'd really love for Die Antwoord (and Grimes) to do a LN show.

Danny brown vs Bob Moses is a terrible conflict, I've been waiting for Danny at Lolla so this is a big deal. He played Other at Roo, and his sound was bunk. Still fun, but I know I can get a better experience if he plays Palladia.
Hiatus Kaiyote is incredible, but I love Alex Turner's music, as well as Miles Kane. Who knows when you'll get to see Alex stripped down like this again, I'll be looking for an HK aftershow. Hope this conflict doesn't happen.
Not interested in any of the headliners, and supposedly Miike Snow has an aftershow at concord...so I can get an ace spot by dipping early.
Friday*
Sunflower Bean>Lewis Del Mar>Modern Baseball(partial)>Skepta(partial)>Struts>Foals>M83>Radiohead
This day is all about Radiohead. I've never seen them before, and I have some horror stories about how close I was to seeing them and things didn't work out. If I get to Samsung by struts, I should be able to get a boss spot. Very excited if this is how Samsung plays out!
Saturday*
Nothing but Thieves>Chairlift>Strumbellas>Jack Garrat>Front Bottoms>Big Grams>Mutemath>Grimes>RHCP>Vic Mensa
One of the best Saturdays for sure. I can see who I want, and get front row for Grimes. I hope this is exactly how the Saturday schedule works.
Sunday*
Flatbush>Louis the Child>Lindsey Sterling>Years and Years>Local Natives>Flume>Vince Staples>Die Antwoord
Some wicked conflicts all day. I won't be able to get a prime spot for anyone, but I will get to see my favorite acts. Vince Staples vs Bloc Party sucks, but I'm digging Vince more. I'll have a terrible spot for Local natives, because of Years and Years. It'll be fine though. I know Perry's will be hella packed during die Antwoord so I might leave Vince 20 min early or so.
Would I want to sit through Bryson Tiller for Flume and LCD? I'm not convinced I'd need to to get a fantastic spot.
I guess it's kind of a weird day since Zhu is the only 'true' EDM act closing a stage, but I can't imagine too many Flume fans sticking around for LCD after his set ends.
