Just because no one else is going to vote for it. I actually enjoyed Sturgill and Kevin Morby the most. Then there's Beyonce, EITS, Mogwai, Deftones, King Gizz and Suuns. Also a few that I just heard, not sure if they actually came out this month or not Heron Oblivion, La Sera, Black Mountain and Margo Price. Great month.
PJ is on my shortlist too, but I'm not sure it'll get my vote.
We almost need a second tournament just to decide who gets into the end of year tournament from this month. I feel like every Beyonce voter's second choice is probably something different.

I'm cool with an IRV system...

in the end, will it really matter? If you're not first, you're last!
I feel like I've finally listened to enough new music to vote again. The sturg just blew me away. Liked his last album a lot, but this one had many more chill inducing moments than I could have expected. Beyoncé did her thing too. Very great, fun listen, better than I expected. This was King Gizzards best album yet IMO, and I get to see them in a month, and I gave this more play than anything else, but it just is what it is. Nothing ground breaking here, and tho my heart says yet, it's just not the AOTM for me. Woods and Keven Mortby were both equally as awesome.
Deciding between King Gizz, Sturgill, and Deftones
Youth Code and Black Mountain round out the top five. EITS and Mogwai were good, but almost seem to cancel each other out. Leon Vynehall, The Heavy, and Charles Bradley are the remainder of the top 10.
