I'm coming out of my self imposed inforoo retirement to give this my thumbs up. Thinking about making this a real petition on petition.org or some equivalent?

The Dean Ween Group (his FB page) 11 hrs · I just came home from our gig, we played 3 Bowie tunes. I just found out that he passed away. I hope this is an internet hoax and I look foolish (more than usual) tomorrow.
He had a lot of amazing songs. "Fame" has been one of my favs for awhile, along with "Let's Dance" and "I'm Afraid of Americans".... Wonder if Reznor would make a surprise appearance? Not saying NIN will be there this year but one could only hope for some form of them.

Joe McGinty from Psychedelic Furs did one of his Loser's Lounge shows in Nashville a couple of years ago and got a decent group of locals from Sam Bush to Brendan Benson to do songs. It was fun.
2017: 2/24 Twenty One Pilots 4/1 Radiohead 6/7 Glass Animals 9/10 Modest Mouse 9/21 Arcade Fire 9/29 Kings of Leon 10/3 Foster the People 10/17 The xx 10/22 LCD Soundsystem 11/8 Bon Iver
Woody Woodmansey is the original drummer in the Spiders from Mars and he is currently touring with a group called Holy Holy that is doing Bowie shows. They could totally be the band while different celebs fill in for Ziggy.

I could see going after just Woodmansey for the legacy but the whole band playing seems like more of a karaoke night than a superjam. Still fun and I'd totally be there but give me Deaner with Mayer (playing the same night allegedly), add a competent rhythm section with rotating vocalists and you have a superjam that will be the must-attend event of the weekend.
Anyway you could get this out to other outlets like the Bonnaroo Facebook or (god forbid) CoS?
I put it up on the Bonnaroo reddit. I'll see if I can't share it on Inforoo on Facebook also. I know Alex frequents this board so if he sees this and wants to spread the word, all of our thanks.
I'd rather a bunch a groups just each doing a cover. I'd love to see Tame Impala cover Space Oddity. It would fit them perfect!
AS good as that would be, Tame Impala almost never play covers. Especially now. Their set is a well-oiled machine where they only play half the instruments you're hearing. Kevin Parker's not about to mess with that. But all three headliners are artists I could potentially see working in some Bowie.

Is this a lot different from how they were in 2013 at Roo? That was the only time I've seen them.
