Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
- the xx - Bonobo - DJ Shadow - Guided By Voices - Francis & the Lights - the Avalanches - Car Seat Headrest - Future Islands - Kaytranada - Real Estate
Didn't include anyone who was already ruled out (Bon Iver/Mitski/Whitney etc.) or someone we just simply won't get (Hans Zimmer)
Are we talking about GBV?
Current touring incarnation are a lot of fun, glad to see Uncle Bob has mustered some energy to start hitting the road more!
In 2008 and 2009 and then again from 2012-14, I really thought Bonnaroo lineups could compete with Coachellas. A few years, I thought they straight up won.
Now its really hard to imagine Bonnaroo coming out with even something half as good as the 2017 Coachella poster, and there's a decent amount of crap among the great acts on there.
I agree about Coachella and if this was the best they could do this year I would not expect any better from the other American majors.
I think she's just at one before. And she's also playing something in NOLA later in June. There's still hope... kind of...
Is she better live now? Her last set at Roo was cringeworthy...I felt bad for her.
I blame Roo for that. She had sound issues onstage at Which and they never got it straightened out. (In addition to the generally uneven/bad sound the Which audience usually deals with.) And it was one of those hot, early, fire-of-a-million-suns sets on Which, to boot. So I'm giving her a pass.
I've never seen her elsewhere though, so I'd be curious if she has a bad reputation as a performer from other shows.
Now that we know Coachella is gonna be awesome, and a lot of us here seem to think Roo is gonna be significantly less than awesome, I decided to make a best-case scenario mock to (hopefully) lift everyone's spirits:
U2 - RHCP - The Weeknd - Chris Rock - Beck - Chance the Rapper (w/ possible Lando Calrissian guest appearance?) - A Tribe Called Quest - Pretty Lights (live) - The National - Hall & Oates - St. Vincent - Major Lazer - Cage the Elephant - PJ Harvey - The Head and the Heart - Schoolboy Q - Flume - Brand New - The Avalanches - Coloring Book Superjam! - Glass Animals - Trey Anastasio Band - Sturgill Simpson - Young the Giant - Rae Sremmurd - Portugal. the Man - Courtney Barnett - Umphrey's McGee - Kid Cudi - George Clinton & PFunk - Katryanda - Jim James - Sleigh Bells - Danny Brown - Tom Segura - St. Paul & the Broken Bones - BADBADNOTGOOD - Milky Chance - Capital Cities - Lotus - Gramatik - Jeremih - Marshmello - Warpaint - The Orwells - Maria Bamford - Hippie Sabotage - D.R.A.M - Borgore - The Hotelier - Louis the Child - Towkio - Getter - Car Seat Headrest - Parquet Courts - Francis & The Lights - NGHTMRE - Noname - Lucy Dacus

Wrong. This is not a scenario. I'm sorry
Ok fine. Impossibly-hopeful scenario. Would you prefer that wording?

I just don't get why you'd post a mock like that. Why would seeing something that would have been impossible in one of Roo's best years be uplifting now?

Eh, I think that would have been very possible 3-4 years ago. Probably even a dissapointment.
I don't get that Roo prediction date. Clues have been Tues/Thurs, assuming we get a clue this Thursday, would they just be doing six clues instead of the usual ten?
edit- I'm just thinking out loud really, I know nobody really knows the answer to this haha

The clues have felt like an afterthought this time, so I wouldn't be surprised.
Also, no BLAM (yet). I don't think they called the "reveal" on Conan last year BLAM, so maybe they've moved away from it for sure.
I know opinions vary on BLAM, but I'll miss it if it's gone.

I feel like Q-Tip just kind of said that they were planning on touring, which means there's a good chance they hadn't booked anything and aren't playing at all this summer. Hopefully I'm wrong

How would they fill in Phife's parts? It'll be interesting to see.

The same way they did on SNL? Either his parts would be just be his lines from studio cuts or they would have possibly a few guests.

Yea, could be the same as SNL or similar to shows where Snoop will play (but no Dr. Dre) and vice versa. Just play his part and shout out to it on the speakers.
