Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
Lineup is official for 8am on the 11th. Good luck, fuckers.
This has to be the least amount of Roo Clues they've done, right?
Also, are you not going?! What the actual fuck Dave?!
I've been toying with the idea of skipping this year since last year. 2016's lineup didn't do a ton for me aside from a few bright spots. It was great to see everyone, but I don't know if I can get hyped to do the whole thing without the lineup helping justify it. Like Boner has spoken about before, I generally might just need a break from music festivals for a bit especially with life stuff going on.

I skipped last year and did a different festival. It definitely helped clear my mental palate if that makes sense. Even Bonnaroo gets old if you go year in year out. I'm hoping for a line-up that sells me on getting me back, but I did the hardest part and missed a year so I feel a little freer this time around.

Taking a year off is necessary sometimes. We did it in 11 and we're doing it this year. Doing a different fest or taking a real vacation is always a good thing.

With Gov a ball getting Kevin Parker v Mark Ronson and Coach getting Hans Zimmer, I can only hope we get some crazy shit.
I've already bought my ticket and I actually don't have super high expectations, it's just the best trip my friends and I could afford and they've never been. I'm not super picky (as proven by me going to every Music Midtown for the last 5 years) so I'll find enough to have fun.
Honestly, the Bottle Rock lineup looks better to me than the Coachella one...
I don't know that anyone on this board has more consistently displayed such bad opinions, year after year, than you have. It's truly remarkable how terrible your opinions are.
For me personally, it's a better lineup. Just looking at the top 6, I don't care one way or another about Radiohead, I've seen Beyoncé twice, and I've seen Kendrick twice. The xx are good, Bon Iver doesn't do anything for me, and I'd like to see Lorde.
I haven't seen any of the BottleRock top 3, and I like Maroon 5, and love both Petty and the Foos. I've seen Macklemore 3 times, and while I wouldn't pay to see him again, he's always put on a fun show. Modest Mouse is a band I've always wanted to see, and Ben Harper is a show I enjoyed when I saw him, but wouldn't go out of my way to see on his own.
So for me, if I were buying a ticket for either, I'd choose BottleRock this year. Sorry if this offends your deeply held musical opinions.

I understand it, but I don't like it. I'm sad that those committing this year keeps dwindling. Maybe I can do PPC again this year and see people there? As long as I see my peeps and say my goodbyes before I go.

I stopped reading when you said you like Maroon 5.

"Coachella is headlined three of the most important and exciting musical acts of this generation but I've seen them so off to Bottlerock I go!"
I mean, spend your money how you want but there's no way you can argue that tepid list of dad rock is better than Coachella's lineup. Or at least try phrasing your posts better if you don't want to incur the wrath of the headliner thread.

Drop the Shins (or replace them with someone a little smaller like MGMT) and find a spot for Rae Sremmurd in there and that's a fairly realistic mock that would get me there

Too low for them?
I think they were 7th last time they played. Wouldn't be surprised if they dropped lower, but I don't think they'd go too far outside the top 10.

They were #7 in 2012, can't imagine them being lower than that.

Final answer. A good combo of some confirmed acts mixed with what I want, both realistic and a few long shots, and some stuff that I don't really care much for but that I think are likely.

it help. I'm still so so on doing any fests this year, if anything it's gonna be Coachella tho. I'd have to travel to see Radiohead this year anyway, so might as well try any pop that cherry
