I think I only know about four U2 songs. Vertigo, With or Without You, Beautiful Day, and Sunday Bloody Sunday. I'm sure there are others I might know, but none of those makes me go "Wow, I gotta see that on the Farm!".
You've never heard One, Pride (In the Name of Love), Mysterious Ways, Walk On, Even Better Than The Real Thing, Desire, or Where The Streets Have No Name? Have you never been to a sporting event? I thought they play Streets at everything.

You know, for all Roo's faults, they were the first festival to get Elton, Billy Joel, and now U2. We can debate the quality of those acts, but they were/are all unique gets at the time of booking, and that's pretty cool. Doesn't compete with Coachella's unique first headliners, but it's still cool.
Beastie Boys was the biggest "Get" Roo ever had in my time (09 on) IMO.
At that time, though, we (sadly) didn't know how important that booking would be. ...

At the beginning of my local AHL teams games, they play a montage with Streets as the background music.

The only connection I feel to a U2 song is "Sunday Bloody Sunday". It was Roo 2013, when McCartney had us going "na na na na na na na" for forty-five minutes during Hey Jude, and I found myself thinking "How long, how long must we sing this song?"
Then I remembered that U2 song and was like "Oh, I get it now."

Wait a minute, you didn't like that part of Hey Jude?

I loved that set and that song, but yea I felt that part was a little overlong.

Edit: They will sell a shit load of tickets, let's quit with this argument. And if you don't know enough U2 yet. Listen to Joshua Tree 3 times through and if you aren't pumped about at least 3 songs, then Borgore will be destroying the other tent for you.

One Direction on that list is hilarious.
There will always be questionable taste. But spending hard earned money on something will always be the most prominent sign of approval.
