Look at their Meadows booking. If they're fourth line there they would be pretty far down Roo's lineup.
Wait, that NYC fest got em? Or a different meadows?
If we are still talking about The Avalanches then yes. They are one of the hidden names. You can still make out "Aval" pretty clearly. Pretty Lights is the other name

Damnnnnnn, I'm so excited to know that Avalanches will def be in America, I can't wait. And yeah, The Avalanches really low booking only makes them even better cause they won't take up a prime spot on the lineup, so there is no reason to miss them! Letting them close the. Other tent one night would make me so happy

I wouldn't be so sure. The reason they're blanked out on the Meadows lineup, and the reason why they were taken off the Treasure Island lineup, is that they're still hammering out visa issues. They're supposed to be doing a U.S. tour this fall, but they need to get that squared away first.
The e-mail they just sent out also seems to only list one name crossed out. Was one of them revealed already or is this new?

The email does, yes but when I saw that I went on their website and they were still there

Ah, I see, well hopefully they can get it all straightened out soon! I'm dying for Avalanches (if they are in the US at the time, I'm kinda surprised that they won't be at III Points cause they seem like a perfect fit)

It's very possible they're in contention for III Points, but the festival is choosing not to reveal them.
Phish - Drake - Sia - Beck Trey Anastasio - Major Lazer - The National - Disclosure
Didn't look to see last year each played/if at all. Switch order around however.
I've tried reading the last two items and have no idea what it says. Also, this will not be the the lineup.
No shit it won't be the lineup, but I could see them pulling several of those acts simply to sell tickets. Phish, Drake, Sia, and unfortunately Major Lazer/Disclosure would sell a good amount of tickets. It may not be all that attractive to Roo veterans, but they'd sell more tickets than this year as long as it wasn't a turd of an undercard.
Phish arent a number 1 or 2 act. They play the Mann center in Philly while Drake and Sia are playing stadium ahows
They do play two nights at the Mann though, and always sell out both nights. And the venue factors in too. I agree with you on Drake, but Phish would undoubtedly be billed over Sia at Roo.

Beck's new album is full of "big hooks" and "poppy energy," inspired by playing summer festivals.
More than three years later, he has finally finished that album. Due in October, the still-untitled record is a left turn from its predecessor, taking the harmony-heavy beauty of Morning Phase and charging it with big hooks, hip-hop loops and the poppy energy of his classic Nineties work.
The sound, Beck says, was inspired by five years of heavy touring. He played big summer festivals to young audiences, and he soaked up the energy of acts like the Strokes, with whom he toured last year. "It's a summer night, people have their hands up," he says. "It's a communal, celebratory thing. I wanted to take that into the studio, a kind of energy or joy. The thing that wakes you up a little bit."

2017 Beck is going to be all like:
Looking forward to the next album. Would love to see him at Roo in any capacity (don't care if he headlines or pre-headlines or late-nights it).

If that new song "Wow" is an indicator then this new album is going to be all bubblegum and might just be what he needs to get bumped into the #3 spot.

He actually seemed humbled during his Glasto set - which I thought was weird given the dude's been playing all over the world for the last two decades.
I for one can't wait for Beck's new album. I love Dreams and Wow. I'm gonna pray he comes near me but regardless I would like Beck to take me to funky town next year. I think he deserves to headline but I just want to see him on the farm.
