But I still think you guys are crazy acting like Roo has completely sucked since then.
2015 going from Kendrick to RTJ to Earth Wind and Fire to Flying Lotus was a pretty amazing night too.
It's just a bummer the late nights have become a bit neutered. 2015 was the beginning of that, as STS9, a band known for jamming, ended relatively early. Some people reported to me that D'Angelo was prevented from doing a third encore (presumably "Untitled (How Does it Feel)" because the organizers were telling his band to stop playing.
I was at that D'Angelo set. If they told him to wrap it up early, I definitely didn't notice it. That show was incredible regardless.

They had a 2 1/2 hour set? I also remember Mac Demarco and Flying Lotus having some pretty epic unplanned encores which went over their set time
Lol yeah I know I messed up on that one when I got to watching the videos of Atomic Bombs set. I'm still ashamed to admit that I had the chance and passed on it.
LCD > Chainsmokers > Zed's Dead PJ > RL Grime > Adventure Club
You skipped Tame Impala for Chainsmokers, so your opinion is no longer valid here.
Weren't Purity Ring, Bob Moses, and Blood Orange all that night too? I didn't go, but I could have definitely made a memorable late night with those acts.
But seeing the 2012/2013/2014 lineups for the first time and getting that initial rush of excitement and losing my mind is something I really miss.
Talk about losing your mind over a lineup drop, anybody remember in 2008 when NME announced Led Zeppelin was headlining because they misread Lez Zeppelin? For about ten minutes everyone lost their shit until we figured it out. Good times.

I didn't really get to experience much late night this year. I was stupid and didn't bring anything to sleep outside of my tent in so I barely got any sleep. Come late night every night, I was exhausted.

Purity Ring was awesome too. Improved my interest in seeing them at roo by 1000 percent. Purity Ring vs. FJM is a conflict I'd rather avoid having but it's potential is very real. Decisions.
That Wu Tang > The xx > Pretty Lights sunrise set was one of the greatest nights at Roo I've ever experienced. And of course Sir Paul brought the house down as only he could. What a year 2013 was lol.
That was the single best day of any of the 3 years I went
I don't think he's saying Purity Ring is bad. They're just at like every festival ever.
Who cares? They are awesome. Also looking at dates last year the only US ones they did were Coach, Sasquatch, Gov Ball, Roo, Treasure Island, and Sound on Sound. So 6 that are in entirely different regions of the country.

Imagine if that lineup weren't filled with all of those other awesome acts that day though. Imagine Coachella. Imagine that I went back through your posts and gave a shit and stuff.
Point here is you guys settle and, "can make a perfectly entertaining night" out of mediocre lineups, when this festival was founded on legendary sets and bad ass late nights. There's no need for them to make adjustments when you guys are all so accepting of it all. I'm happy to be a former customer if this is the direction their product is headed.

Dungen -> Allen Stone -> Ibeyi -> Shamir -> Kamasi Washington -> Vince Staples -> Leon Bridges -> LCD Soundsystem pit -> Tame Impala -> Blood Orange -> Lane 8
And I had to skip Andra Day, Daughter, Fidlar, Whitney, Tyler The Creator, and M83. Friday was pretty awesome this year.
