The iTunes thing is even funnier. People acted like it was heresy, I loved watching everyone meltdown over it. Also, people bitching about someone using their fame to raise money for AIDS research is fantastic.

They did and do. Because a lot of people just view him as being preachy and often don't really pay attention to the cause.
so are they just releasing the lineup at 8am on the site? or will there be some conan special crap that we have to sit through
I would guess just a press release and poster.
A. They haven't announced any sort of programming or a platform to view it on. B. The earlier time of the announcement makes it unlikely it would get any sort of large viewership.
If Bonnaroo is U2's only NA show for the year (which is what that turkey was proposing), then I'll delete my account and leave forever. If that doesn't turn out to be true, you need to do the same, plus you need to go back to that place in Philly where you threw a hissyfit about the water and let the bouncer punch you in the face.
No dice. The original quote, which I was mocking, was the idea that U2 would use Bonnaroo as a one-off hype show for the international tour before playing the U.S. in 2018. My contention is that this is a patently ridiculous idea.

All I am hearing is complaints about the lineup but this being my 5th Roo I have never been more excited. Call it development in my growth with music but my first two Roos were being excited for big name mainstream indie acts but the magic of Roo isn't who will be there, it's about DISCOVERING all of the amazing music out there.
while I am mainly an indie guy, the possibility of big gigantic, garrix, and umphries has me shaking in excitement. I'm gonna fucking party and I want all of you fucks dancing with me.
All I am hearing is complaints about the lineup but this being my 5th Roo I have never been more excited. Call it development in my growth with music but my first two Roos were being excited for big name mainstream indie acts but the magic of Roo isn't who will be there, it's about DISCOVERING all of the amazing music out there.
while I am mainly an indie guy, the possibility of big gigantic, garrix, and umphries has me shaking in excitement. I'm gonna fucking party and I want all of you fucks dancing with me.
Please post what your schedule was for each day of the last four years so we can get an idea of what kind of acts you like.

Or they have preset their social media accounts to send out their poster at 8am on Weds and some intern quacks up and accidentally sends it out at like 8pm Tuesday or something.

I skipped 2015 due to the repeating acts and thinking the lineup sucks. Turns out it was one of the best ones in my eyes in coorelation with my current music taste. God I wish I knew then what I knew now haha And to piggy back off the guy above, I saw 21 pilots in 2013 right when vessel launched and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. They were a day Thursday act and are now HEADLINING fesivals.

There are going to be so many South Park totems this year. This is a shitpost (pun very much intended,) but between Bono and Lorde this is gonna be a fuckin' lit ass year for totems.
