Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I think I remember something about his mom discontinuing the fund.
I agree to take out the parade, I think it possibly confuses people about where to go if they have not been before. I've never participated because I hate things like that
I might suggest setting up a phone tree of sorts for newcomers before the weekend where they can hook up with some volunteers that'll show them the way if they need it. As easy as it seems on paper, Brunch can be hard to find. I know I didn't make it the first year I tried because I just couldn't find it.
We didn't have a hard time finding it, but carrying our gumbo was difficult. We did get some help at the end when we were trying to figure out how to cut into the tent only part. If you scout it out first and find the flags its pretty easy afterwards, but the key is to scouting out the area. I am an OCD planner so...

We also walked over on Thursday to scout it out, because we had a ton of stuff to carry also But once you know those flags, you can always find brunch. It's just a matter of finding a good way through the tents!
By my count we have lost five Inforoosters in the past ten years: Matt carpedm01 whoreshack Whoreshack , my good buddy Doug red rum , yoder yoderoo and rvicke rvicke RIP friends.
We need to rethink where our donations are directed. Inforoosters are so generous, we could change someone's life with what collect at Brunch.
I don't think it is going to work out for me to come this year after all. I think my festival career is over. It was a good run. Love y'all. Apologies to @bunny for not delivering her a crown.

As someone who isn't making it this year, I can understand you not making it this year. But your festival career is over? Say it ain't so, Kim! What does that even mean? Are you joining a convent? Beginning a lengthy prison term?
Are there any other meet up things like this at Bonnaroo? Anything on Thursday specifically?
There usually a few meetups. There's been a thread the past couple years.
And once the schedule comes out people plan meet ups for shows.
Agreed. Several of the different areas of the board plan their specific meet ups closer to the festival too. trantsgiving needs to nut up and come to brunch though.

Suggestions??
Maybe a cancer research foundation or something? Maybe take some and give back to QSAROO? Idk, just spouting off ideas.
Supposedly Electric Forest banned all outside alcohol even in the campgrounds. That would literally be a buzzkill for brunch if Live Nation or Coffee County authorities decided to implement Prohibition at Roo.
My interpretation of this: Electric Forest has announced that they don't want to exist as a festival anymore. Should Bonnaroo/Coffee County do this it would also be the beginning of the end for Roo, too. I could see them tightening up the searches at the Centeroo entrances but preventing the odd flask or wine bag from being carried in probably wouldn't be enough to keep people away, or increase beer sales dramatically enough to make it worth the hassle.
Heck, the mounted deputy I tried to chat up last year even commented on how most people got their alcohol levels right because it always seemed like a mostly happy and goofy crowd there. She said she didn't mind working the event at all, as the change of pace was nice and she liked mounted patrols, but she declined to give me her number.
And I'm in for brunch. Will try to come earlier, stay longer, talk to more people, and bring my crew. And will definitely bring food, not sure what yet. Just have to decide on something that I can make Tuesday night and that won't need to be reheated. Any requests for something savory that will keep for a couple days?
I would suggest an organ donation charity this year, both in honor of custeph and because, let's be honest here, about half of Inforoo is going to need a new liver at some point in their lives.
I've been really digging Midori, bringing a bottle of that melony goodness sounds good for brunch. I've got a shit ton of deer pepper sticks Im sure I'll have leftover by Roo that I will probably end up bringing too.
what the hell is a deer pepper stick? some kind of jerky type thing?

Its not dry like jerky, more like whole pepperoni or salami, but made with deer. Venison is the bomb
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
