This lineup is pretty great for a small festival like this! Considering this is only $55 a ticket, I'm seriously considering going to this, as I love the Tedeschi Trucks Band

I was just about to post about this festival when I saw this thread was here already. This little fest has been getting bigger and bigger every year. This year they seem to have really crossed a threshold from little local block party to full blown small fest. Ticket prices about 50% higher than previous years and the lineup really reflects that. Considering I live in the town next door, I will do my best not to miss this. Vibe is very laid back with beach chairs and blankets commonplace. Great day at the beach feel. Kick back to some reggae/jam fun.

Have you been to the festival before? The atmosphere seems really laid back. I'm really impressed with the lineup this year, as this is a big step up from even last year who had Trombone Shorty, Dr. Dog and CRB as the headliners. I almost went last year, but this may be the year I go as this lineup is too good to pass up.
I live in Plainville, so I would probably just go for the standard GA pass but I'm also considering camping since it's so inexpensive. Do you think it'll sell out quickly?

If I lived down south I'd be going to bigger, better festivals - but being from the Northeast and not much of a budget for music festivals, I have to take what I can get
It's in Marshfield, roughly 30 miles south of Boston
Heh, I'm a Masshole, I know where Marshfield is. They should include their location on their poster, is all I'm saying.
Yeah, I agree - but hey, this is a relatively new festival as its only on it's fourth year. I'll forgive them, since this lineup is pretty great for such a smaller-scale festival. Given that tickets for other stops on the Tedeschi Trucks Band "Wheels of Soul" tour start at around $55-65, there's a lot of great value here.

I didn't make any statements on the quality of the fest, but okay.

Whatever.
Why the attitude? I was trying to have a conversation and be helpful to those here on Inforoo and let people know about the festival...

I took it as you giving me attitude, all I said was that they should put their location on the poster, and I got back an explanation of why this festival was worth the money. Stay on topic.

I apologize if I came off that way - that was never my intention. My brain is all over the place, as I haven't had enough morning coffee yet
To get back on topic, it looks like Levitate is offering a camping option this year. It seems relatively inexpensive at $25 per person, but the caveat is is that it's roughly 15 minutes away from the festival. However, it seems like they're offering a shuttle service which seems helpful!

Yes I went in 2014 and my sister went last year. Extremely laid back vibes, feels more like a summer block/beach party than a true festival. Lots of parents and young children compared to a normal festival. As far as I know camping is new this year, so I have no idea what the deal with that is. As far as I know this festival has never sold out. I bought my tickets at the gate in 2014 and I'm pretty sure my sister did too last year. Attendance was around 4,000 when I went in 2014 and they were trying to double that for 2015, but I can't find any numbers on that. Overall it was a great experience. My biggest two complaints were the lack of free water and terrible beer selection (budweiser). The good news is, the festival allows reentry so you can bring whatever you want in your car or talk a 4 minute walk down the street to the convenience store.

Thank you for sharing your experience It sounds like it's a good time!
I still might get tickets earlier rather than waiting too long though, since the general interest for this festival has risen judging by social media.
Here's the schedule for this year's Levitate Music Festival. Hopefully TTB will play longer than an hour. I'll definitely get there before Twiddle, as I'd like to see them and pretty much everyone after that.

That was my plan as well, but then I checked out Ron Gallo and he sounds pretty good so I might just have to go in for the beginning.
I had forgotten about this. Glad to see it is family friendly. I may be able to talk the GF into it. Us, the ten year old twins and a newborn. Is that a little much or think it is manageable? Ive seen almost all of the bands before but I enjoy them all for the most part and for the pruce and a family weekend it works.

moten33 Were you able to get your tickets? It looks like they officially sold out over the weekend, but there's still some people offering tickets via Facebook and this site: uselyte.com/levitatemusicfestival/
Can't wait for Saturday - I hope the weather turns out better than what the forecast is currently saying

It literally sold out as I was trying to buy tickets. There were tons of cheap ones on Craigslist but those have dried up too. Its a 6 plus hour drive so we'll probably monitor the weather and make a last minute decision.

Ugh, that sucks - I'm sorry.
As of right now the forecast shows an 80% chance of precipitation during the day and 60% at night. I know weather can change at the drop of the hat but I'm still kind of nervous. I hope it won't get rained out

How many stages are there? These set times seem super short.

Yeah, I wish the set times were a bit longer, especially for NMA who only gets like 45 minutes. I really hope Tedeschi Trucks Band gets a full set and plays longer than anyone else on there.
Judging from the photos from last year, they had two stages that were side-by-side.
Looks like I was wrong, there's three stages! I e-mailed Levitate about the possibility of storms and they responded: "The show is rain or shine. There are plenty of shade shelters set up throughout the festival to hide from the elements if you need." Hopefully it all works out, since there's expected to be just around 10,000 people..
