It was 2011, we had talked a little bit in some threads, just the normal post. We met at brunch, just before I sung a song, "My Ding-a-ling". We ended up hanging out a lot that weekend. I tried to put the moves on, but was rejected, because she had a BF back home. We left the Farm with great memories and as friends. Over the next year, we talked and kept in touch. 2012 we decided to camp together in VIP. That was a great year. We were now more than just friends. That Walmart parking lot will always hold a special place, because of our first kiss there. Thanks fawnmart!! So she lived in Texas and I lived in Florida. The distance was far, but our friendship grew. She would fly to Florida and I would fly to Texas and we both would fly to quack club. Last summer, Sugarhigh moved to Florida and I quickly knew, she would be the one. I thought about how I would ask her. Would it be at brunch at Roo or over Christmas time. Then, I started looking at Wanee, it would be April and my birthday weekend and she would not be expecting it then. I pictured me asking her on my birthday. I knew friends would bring me bday gifts. I thought I would thank them and follow up with me wanting one gift, which I had not gotten, yet. It was before December, that I started thinking about this day. How would it happen, what would I say? I am old school and wanted to ask her father's permission first. Time went by, we missed a chance to go to Texas, where I was gonna talk to him. This day played out in my head, as I would fall asleep at night. I often thought about this day and how it would play out. More time went by and I realized I did not have the money to buy a ring and as April approached, it became clear I did not have things in order and it was not happening at Wanee, because I did not have a ring. I still thought about this day and how it would happen. I was okay with not asking her father for permission, but again, I did not have a ring. Wanee starts and by now I have come to the conclusion, this would not be the time, mainly and mostly, because I did not have a ring. Saturday, my birthday, I am walking around the camp fire and looking down in the dirt I notice a shiny little sparkle in the dirt. The sun shined though the trees at the perfect angle to make this thing sparkle. I bent down and picked it up. I would not believe it, if it did not happen to me but...It was a Ring!! I had found a ring. It did not matter what it looked like, I had found a ring. The only thing holding me back from asking this girl to marry me on this day, was a ring and I just found one! Late that night, friends and I were hanging out by the fire. It was time and it played out better then I could have imagined. As you can guess, the ring fit like a charm. And she said, "YES!" Two weeks ago, my ex fiancée, became my wife. We got married in Texas and then again on Saturday, this past weekend, back here in Florida. My dad and many friends would not be able to make it out to Texas, so we decided to have a Throwdown, with a mini ceremony back here in Florida. Also a way to received double the presents. (not really mom)
Thank you inforoo, you helped me find my love!! Thank you sugarhigh! You rock my world!!
What a story! It brought a little tear to my eye--sounds like something you'd read in a Harlequin romance! Are you going to Honeymoon at Bonnaroo? Would that be a Honeyroo or a Bonnamoon? Yes, I'm babbling...anyway, congrats!

I had no idea you met each other at that brunch. I am pretty sure I have a group tutu photo that she is in, maybe. I'm so thrilled for both of you, and all fell into place as it needed to <3
Welcome back Bonz, but I do not find it strange that your presence being requested in the Orgy thread and then you showing up, like it was the quacking Bonzai Bat Signal.
