I think we're down to Shuck, Trist, and Potent, yea?
Don't forget Rummy 500 . She did bring me birthday beer.
Yeah, but she's the poster who numerous people love to randomly deem annoying without giving any substantiation to the claim (oh wait, nvm, Monie once mentioned that she sometimes doesn't like the way I type out/form my sentences - I take it all back), so you might want to join that party .
Considering you've found the need to respond to my threads as if you are threatened by me I offer you some peace my confused counterpart. May you find peace in your restless soul.

FWIW, I like Shuck. Girl Boy got spunk.
And sheer quantity as well. And coming from me that's saying something. #postcountsdontlie

It has been an hour and you have yet to rank any of these things. You've piqued my interest, now do something with it.
note: I have no influence over the picking of the winner.

For Monie - the 10 things you must do when you are in Pittsburgh (I invite fellow Pittsburghers beebee and ncbst3 to chime in on my list):
10. Visit the Cathedral of Learning (at the University of Pittsburgh) - the tallest academic building in the western hemisphere also has 30 Nationality Rooms that represent the nationalities/ethnicities of the people who helped to build the city 9. Eat at the Conflict Kitchen - right across from the Cathedral, basically, they serve a rotating menu from nations with whom the US is in conflict (hence the name) 8. Phipps Conservatory - visit this botanical gardens (right up the street from Conflict Kitchen) in May, when all of the flowers start to bloom. Great place for a wedding reception. 7. old Forbes Field site - also right in Oakland, a section of the outfield wall remains as it stood back before the Pirates left in the 70s, and the location of home plate is in Posvar Hall on Pitt's campus. There's a plaque in the foyer but the real location is in the women's bathroom. Also, if you go on October 13, you can join the Pittsburgh chapter of the Society for American Baseball Research in listening to the radio broadcast of Game 7 of the 1960 World Series - the only World Series to end in Game 7 on a walkoff home run. 6. Museums! - great selection for a town Pittsburgh's size. The Carnegie Museums (again, in Oakland - across from Pitt and next to Carnegie Mellon) are the go-to museums, with the Natural History museum being one of the top 5 in the US, and containing the first T-Rex fossil in the country. I'm partial to the Warhol Museum, located on the North Shore, which is the largest museum in the world dedicated to one artist. The Mattress Factory also features room installations, and is pretty cool. 5. The Point - a park, with a fountain, at the confluence - where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers meet to form the Ohio. 4. PNC Park - the best ballpark in major league baseball, now with a team worthy of playing there after ending the recent run of 20 consecutive losing seasons (longest losing streak in North American professional sports). 3. The Strip! - It's about 60 square blocks of produce, wholesalers, specialty shops, diners, clubs, etc. Get breakfast at Pamela's, but locals will fight over whether Deluca's or Kelly O's is better. Pamela's is definitely for pancake people. 2. Bridges! - Pittsburgh is the city of bridges, and if you google it, some results will tell you we have the most bridges of any city in the world, more than Venice or Stockholm even. I'm unable to independently verify this and some sources disagree. Pittsburgh has 446 bridges officially, but notable are the "Three Sisters" - the 6th Street (Roberto Clemente Bridge), the 7th Street (Andy Warhol Bridge, runs to the Warhol Museum), and the 9th Street (Rachel Carson Bridge). They are the only bridges in the USA that are nearly identical and so close in proximity to each other. 1. Mount Washington - Take either the Duquesne or Monongahela Inclines (funiculars) up the side of Mt Washington and look at the view of the city from atop the mountain. It is breathtaking. A lot of Pittsburghers get engaged on Mt Washington because it is a romantic spot. I prefer coming from the west side of the city on Mt Washington for a full on view of the city in all its glory.
Honorable Mention:
Furries - the convention is in Pittsburgh usually in July every year. Fort Pitt Tunnel - the NY Times calls Pittsburgh the only city with an entrance because this tunnel drops you right downtown (as seen in the beginning of Wiz Khalifa's Pittsburgh Sound video). Prantl's Bakery - Shadyside; get the burnt almond torte, it's a Pittsburgh institution. Primanti Bros - the sandwiches that we are famous for, but I prefer Fatheads on the Southside.
The Wire sometimes feels too vast for me. I would much rather see scenes of City Hall, the drug trade/Omar/etc, and the schools in Season 5 than the press stuff and McNulty's serial killer. Bubbles contributes to that vast-ness in the entire series for me. I'm not sure what he adds. I'd love for people to explain their view of it to me instead of posting memes.
Bubbles character shows just how hard it is to escape the poverty/addiction cycle. He did it without any support from the people who are supposed to be there to help and only through sheer personal willpower and help from his peers. And it will continue to be a struggle for the rest of his life.
Bubble's story speaks to the overall thesis of the show--that those currently in power either refuse to help or do not care to. If we aren't trying to help individuals and only meet number quotas then there's no reason to expect anything to change. Success stories will continue to be nothing short of miracles and will only come from incredible individual efforts.

Not that my input matters too much but I couldn't resist throwing in my voice of support for potentpotables . Great username, he loves Pittsburgh, he loves Beyoncé, and his family tried out to be on Family Feud.
What's not to love here?
shuck is also a favorite because of his work in Upcoming Shows and breadth of music discussion on here, in a quiet and unassuming way. He has good taste in music and it's varied.
But, have to go with my gut on this one: Bey fans should always be favored.
I do have to say that I appreciate potent's willingness to rep an 8-5 football team as hard as he did last season.
#h2p
That's my team, man, I repped them during 5-7 in 2007, during three straight 6-6 seasons, during like 9 head coaches in a 4 year span...and I'll rep them at Memorial Stadium when we lose 55-7 to Clemson.
