It means that people are going to be streamed as they dance awkwardly close around the dj while one super fucked up person takes it too far (even after friends say, “take it easy”) and will need to be redirected. Meanwhile the DJ will occasionally check his/her peripherals to make sure the gear is safe.

god, those people are the worst.
Speaking of which, what are the people like at this fest? My group keeps joking about needing to go buy Miami outfits, are people dressing in more of a going out/night stuff, or fest stuff?

ASAP is telling me to dress like a grandma so I don't know what's real anymore.
There's a pretty even split of Jeans and T-Shirt people and people dressed for the club. You see more people dressed for a festival/rave and less Jeans and T-Shirts as the night goes on. At Nico Jaar in '17 I stood in between a man wearing a full business suit and a woman wearing almost the least amount of clothing legally possible. You can get away with wearing anything.

This definitely has more than a kernel of truth in it, but the reason it's cool is because Boiler Room is picky about what organizations they'll work with to put one on, is very much about dance music and dance music culture, and picky about who they'll ask to play on a Boiler Room. And in turn, the artist typically put a lot of thought into the sets. It's a cool showcase.
I don't think I ever made it on camera at DfN's boiler room, mostly on purpose, but I was close and behind the booth. it was fine, i would have preferred some different acts, mostly I was stoked on the free booze and being able to smoke inside.

My tax return is looking like it could be double what I expected. Might fuck around and do this especially if James Blake knocks this album out of the park.
When does the schedule usually come out? Should be soon, right?
Probably week/Week and a half before the fest. They have to announce additions and the during the day/after party/pre party events first I believe. Bunch of workshops, lectures, some pool parties during the day. Usually a pre party at gramps with free pizza and beer. If you’re on the fence just go it’s an awesome fest. Last year when I went I wasn’t totally familiar with a lot of the house/techno but have been a huge fan of the genre since. The art is also very cool.

Not sure where on inforoo people dig into a massive album release like JBs today, but just my drunken day 1 thoughts...
Barefoot is #1
Also really like Dont Miss it, Ill Come too, mile high, wheres the catch, way we flow.
I like most the others. The two im struggling with is the opening track... thats the way you come back after 3 years? And power on.
Really strong album. But I will say that when I turn on a James Blake album Im keeping the "Never Learnt to Share" possibility open. Just didnt happen here. This was the exact good ish I expected. Lots of sick hiphop / electronic / rnb songs. I was waiting for something mindblowing though. O well, Ill take a 8/10 when I can get one.

The info they sent with the wristbands said the app was dropping on the 28th. There was mention of an "make your schedule" with that. Obviously they can update the app with the schedule but I'm gonna start looking around then.
I'll also be the guy in metal t-shirts. I almost never feel outta place at festivals.

Friend of a friend mentioned his band was going to be added to this today, they're pretty small though so not sure what the announcement would entail or if there will even be one.
