Lowkey forgot about Ultra cause I pretend it doesn't exist.
But I think iii Points curates a pretty niche lineup that, while focusing on electronic music, definitely pulls from different artist pools than the mainstream EDM of Ultra and the wook EDM of Okee.

Over the past few years, Ultra has made a booking shift and focuses a whole lot more on techno and unique/rare live acts, especially with the addition of their Resistance stage which is 100% techno acts. Hell even their Mega Structure stage is primarily techno/house acts.
Outside from the occasional rock acts III Points books, I would imagine any act III Points books is in play for Ultra, including hip hop that Ultra includes on its "Live Stage".

To be fair, Ultra has always booked house and techno. They've incorporated it more into their branding as of late, but it's literally always the same artists every year. If III Points tried for say Maceo Plex, Maya Jane Coles, Sasha & Digweed, Seth Troxler, Jackmaster, etc., then they may miss out. But they're gonna be fine if they continue booking stuff like Moscoman, Daniel Avery, Danny Daze, John Talabot, Fort Romeau, etc., who Ultra likely won't touch.
The Live Stage at Ultra has also gone downhill, so I think III Points will be fine there too.
Wonder how announcing “soon” for a 2019 fest plays into the Coachella first announce clause.
Okeechobee and Buku share acts with Coachella, and they're fine to announce first. This year, SZA (who subheadlined Coachella), Migos, Alison Wonderland, Rezz, etc. played both Buku and Coachella. Meanwhile, Illenium, blackbear, SuperDuperKyle, etc. played both Okeechobee and Coachella.
I think the bigger problem will be having three big festivals in Florida back-to-back-to-back. While Okeechobee, III Points and Ultra book very distinct lineups, it may just be too much too quickly for a state that's fickle with festivals.

The dates have me looking into this festival and a mini-cruise right after. Might be the first festival surrounding Valentines Day Mrs. GL is happy for.
Any suggestions on hotels in the surrounding area or just be ready to Uber it?

I'd look into hotels in Downtown Miami, but as Phyre Fest said, they're probably pretty expensive.

I think we ran into that last time we were there. Thankfully, it’s Valentines Day weekend, which means I have a bit more budget.

Hotels downtown are definitely expensive AF, but I've stayed next to the airport before for the festival and I remember the Uber's only being between 10-15.

I've always wanted to go but Oct is too busy, Feb dates got me to buy the prophet pass.
I'm not counting on it but if this festival could give me Squarepusher (or shobaleader one), Amon Tobin, or Venetian Snares I would be so damn ecstatic. I'd include Aphex Twin, but I know that's a pipe dream All I know is that this festival is about the only chance of getting any of the above to FL

In all fairness, he seems to be on the boutique festival circuit. I’ll never hold my breath but it isn’t outta the relm of possibilities, imo.

1. I listed artists who III Points could potentially lose out on if they play Ultra. 2. III Points has booked artists like Danny Daze, DJ Tennis, etc. multiple years. 3. Jackmaster didn’t play last year; his set ended up being cancelled.
