Here is some more confirmation regarding the decrease in crowd size over prior year. The 2016 values are live, the 2015 values I think were recorded in May 2015, not sure if they were updated closer to the fest.
EDIT: the original reddit post the 2015 numbers came from was posted 6/2/2015, so the adds were probably pulled around that time.
I'm looking purely at the amount of schedule adds.

That's crazy. 14 artists from last year had more adds then the most added artist of the current year.

My presale VIP are both 96xxx as well. I don't think that helps this.
I got an email today that Mountain Jam had reopened their payment plan option and that now they are allowing attendees to actual pay for half of their ticket up front and the other half a month after the festival. Maybe Bonnaroo isn't the only festival hurting right about now.
I've heard other festivals are doing this too. I don't know if it's that the festival is hurting or that they're a week out from the festival and are trying to push those last people over the line to buying their tickets...If they've got 1,000 more open places, why not pull out all the stops to get people in there.
Okeechobee did it, and they sold out. I think it's just a new way of doing things. IIRC, they did a credit check for Okee.

Does anyone happen to know if the Guest Fast Pass that I have received will get me into the tollbooth for the camping area before I pick up my actual Guest Wristbands at Guest Check in offsite?
I am getting in on Wednesday night with my group and just going to camp in GA with them but the Guest Check in doesnt open until Thursday AM and I wouldnt have any other way. Any help would be amazing!! THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Something to consider.. the fans of Florence and the machine, Mumford, hozier etc, are all likely leaning toward a younger demographic, and thus more likely to download an app and then "like" their favorite bands. Whereas fans of bands like pearl Jam, ween, dead, cymande, etc are likely a little older don't care about downloading an app and likeing their favorite bands.

Yeah, they'll be plenty of folks there but I don't think it will be as crowded as we imagined it would be. Will be interesting to see how the silent disco placement affects things though.

Non millenials listen to shitty post 2000 pop? You learn something new every day I guess. When I first heard about roo it was a jam fest. I feel like this year it's pretty close to a jam fest, with a few pop acts sprinkled in there. Last year it was fricken pop fest, with a couple jam acts sprinkled in there (twiddle? Lol). That's why we see this outrage. Bonnaroo catered to the jam demographic, then slowly began catering to pop demographic causing the first group to jump ship. Now they're going back to pleasing the first demographic at a price way higher than they ever had to pay. Simultaneously causing the newfound bonnapop fans to abandon ship and the old jams heads to say fuck it its too expensive. My .02 on low ticket sales. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I recall looking at the number of adds for the top artists recently and thinking they were significantly less than 2015's adds. Hopefully this is a wake-up call for Roo.
Dam less than 50k? Well glad its my final year since I see nothing but cutbacks after this year, but at least for my final year I get to reap the benefits! Sad to see its decline, especially on a semi big milestone year as well. I will agree this year was supposed to be most of my friends big final year and it looked to be the biggest turnout before tickets even went on sale then once the the lineup was announced it was sad to see so many of them drop out and the ones who purchased tickets early sold theirs. Oh well their loss, I personally think the lineup is great and have about 60 bands I would love to see. I will say that if it wasnt for listening to WFUV radio over the last few years I probably wouldnt have known about one third these acts and who knows I might have felt the same way. Just because they arent legendary/older bands playing doesnt mean the lineup has nothing great to offer. Oh well their loss, its going to be nice walking around with some room to spare and actually going to tents and not going dam its way to crowded to really bother trying to get in. 1 last year, heres to making it another great one!
