Zig - I don't recall off hand if you said who you plan to guess tonight, but I would consider not saying. I don't know if the mafia would kill who you state you plan to guess or not, but not stating gives us a better chance of another confirmed townie that is alive.
I would like to throw this out there in case the mafia take me out tonight - if any evidence of a double fake inspector surfaces (Viking and Zig mafia together), I would put potent under the microscope first as being the first confirmed townie has given him a pass of sorts. In my eyes though this is an incredibly doubtful scenario, but has been in the back of my mind since the discussion started on the double fake possibility. I also couldn't live with myself if this did happen and I didn't say anything about it.
I know I am probably preaching to the choir on these points with most of yall, but still wanted to get it out there.

I read this totally differently - I have always thought it meant that dead Mafia members submitting whacks wouldn't count, it had to be a living scumbag. I never read it the way you are interpreting, but that's interesting.
I had this discussion with a referee back in the game I was Mafia and self-revealed. Basically, in that game, once I was dead Mafia, I couldn't submit the night kill to the referee. It had to come from one of the other living Mafia.
For the inspector, as long as I'm alive, I'm allowed to guess any player's role regardless if they are dead or alive. I would only receive a response if I am not the Mafia night kill.

My suggestion would be not to post it, although if you do, mafia may let them live too (assuming it's a player that is alive) to keep the doubt factor going.

I believe that means that a living mafia member has to send in the victim name - mafia kill. That is at least what it was meant to be when we revamped the rules a while back. I certainly hope that doesn't refer to the inspector only being able to guess currently living players, if it does I believe we need to change the wording.

Intent was in regards to who the Mafia killed. There was an issue once upon a time that this was meant to prevent.
I believe there have been Inspectors who have guessed the identities of the dead long ago.
As to ZIG's point about me being the author: yes, I wrote a draft once upon a time. But it was also proposed to the entirety of the Inforoo Mafia gang, with ensuing discussion, amendments and approval. I could differentiate between ZIG being a dick to me in specific vs. ZIG being a dick in general, but I don't think it even fucking matters.
