3) Voting will begin when the Referee creates the new Mafia thread and has tagged each of the players in that game to notify the players the game has begun. Voting will be open for 24 hours each round *see note below, or until everyone has cast and locked their vote - whichever comes first.
a) The Referee will post a planned vote closing date/time/time zone for each round. Additional time may be given by the Referee to allow for continued discussion. Players have the right to request the Referee to consider an extension in the thread or via PM. Voting will not follow the *24-hour rule on the weekends. The Referee will only close voting on a Saturday or Sunday if all players have cast their vote and the Referee has posted his/her intention to close the round on the weekend prior to the weekend. The weekend is defined as Friday 5 pm CST though Monday 7 am CST. The Referee will not close a round prior to the planned end date/time unless all of the voting players that are not in danger of being lynched (no votes cast against them) lock their votes.

That's another thing about JR's maiden voyage... these announced Night round deadlines. Not a fan. I wouldn't say it's required, and as a personal preference... I like the element of surprise to whack posts.

I slacked the first time I reffed. In my defense though, as bad as I did this past week, I don't think I messed up the game at all, besides relying on you a little. I knew Mr. A going back three decades and he was the good kind of badass. Attorney, Sunday school teacher, and later substitute teacher after he semi-retired; widowed about 25 years ago and raised two adopted children from India on his own - one of whom I've known just as long, was in my junior prom group and such; was a candidate for office before I could vote and member of the DNC; still made voter calls during elections into this decade even though he'd gone blind. like I said, good kind of badass.

What the fuck ever. Part of what I posted was Ref hazing, and the only actual prescription I made was regarding the close time of a day vote. You're spinning one rule. Earlier, you tried splitting hairs on a different rule - when there's clearly no "victim" of a guess same as there's a "victim" of a whack. Keep spinning, asshole.

Looking at the whacks from the past 3 nights leads me to believe that I am left living for a reason. KDogg and Rummy certainly didn't believe ZIG's reveal. I did. That means the mafia wants me to be making this decision, with ZIG being inspector in mind.
Of course, I out-think myself all the time. Circular logic is a bitch in this game. This seems like a case of the old switcheroo, or "what's good for the goose is good for the gander" if you will (bonus points if you get the reference).
In addition to me thinking that mafia wanted someone who believed ZIG to be making this decision, I am wary of Mike D.'s vote this round and referencing ZIG. It would have made a lot more sense to me had he reference NOT trusting Viking, since Viking called him mafia. All of this leads me to cast my vote for Mike D.
