Can't believe they managed to book Grouplove, Bleachers, and Manchester Orchestra all on one day. It's like one for the price of three!
Don't group Manchester Orchestra with those other twos. You (and they) are so much better than that.
I did feel bad after saying it, it was just seeing those three in a row. I don't really mind Bleachers either, thought their last record was on the better end of the indie-pop spectrum. Just seems like 3 bands that could easily get lumped together for a lame package tour

Based on the by-days, it's The Killers, Zedd, The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Kendrick and Odesza. Ranking of how much I want to see of the Top 6 out of 5 stars:
Kendrick - 5 as he's the best in the business
The Killers - 2 not terrible, not adventurous at all though
Odesza 2 - have seen enough times; won't completely suck but will probably be boring.
Halsey 1 Never listened to her and don't plan on starting now but she apparently has some talent
The Chainsmokers - 0 pole smokers
Zedd - 0 have seen enough times. Good light show, wimpy music

Like Chainsmokers don't really effect this lineup imo because the kids will all be there while the tent has either St. Vincent or Anderson .Paak which will be sick. I could def see the fest scheduling out fine but again, nothing that's gonna draw me and a group of people to spend the money needed for this trip.
It's a shame because there's some stuff on that undercard I wanna see this year plus Kendrick but there's no way I can justify the trip.
Anything good on this lineup will probably be at a bunch of festivals
That's my hope... Paak, St Vincent, Greta Van Fleet, Portugal should all be making their rounds. Kendrick was a nice get but I don't understand how you book Chainsmokers in the top 3 but also book Odesza and Zedd in the top 6. It's fuckin overkill.

I think I'm going to do whichever fest in the country has the best lineup for my tastes this year (if there is one) instead of doing several fests around me that are just ok. I'll spend about the same amount of money, but less time that way.

Going to really push the GF to use our Hangout plans on Voodoo, Jazz Fest or Okeechobee. With Hangout out, Domefest (Pigeons Festival, which is usually the same weekend) is likely in.
May - Domefest June - Hopefully a couple days of Mountain Jam with the family July - Hopefully a couple days of Grateful Fest or Newport Folk with the family August - Peach Fest September - Possibly Resonance October - Voodoo?
Voodoo could be replaced with something if another lineup catches our fancy.

Our whole group is out for the first year since 2014. Just saw all the stuff on here I wanted to see at Voodoo. Can't justify it. Arcade Fire might have saved it for me, but no way we are coming down for this. Come on Okeechobee!
