My elementary school music teach used to print out all the nominations, have us pick the winners, then we'd go over the winners in class and get extra credit based on how many we got right.
I had forgot Milli Vanilli won Best New Artist in 1990 and was stripped of the award... then none of the other contestants wanted it so it is now vacant of a winner. It's fun going back through the years and seeing who made it and who didn't...

I get that Views was like the biggest selling album of the year, but come on its pretty terrible. Definitely Drake's weakest album.....how did they pick that over Radiohead or DAVID FRIGGIN BOWIE for album of the year??
Also find it hilarious that Blink 182 and Weezer both got their first grammy nominations ever for Best Rock Album...........12 years after either of them have put out music that actually deserves award recognition.

The Blink-182 album was p good I thought
I'm a huge Blink fan so I'll enjoy anything they put out, still I found California to be really disappointing. There are a few solid songs on there, but also way too much generic filler songs. Its a shame this is their grammy nominated album and not the Untitled album....that was a classic.

I think I had set the bar so low since Tom wasn't on it that I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely agree it's no Untitled

On the one hand I agree with the low standards because of no Tom. But on the other hand, Tom's voice wasn't the sound of Blink anymore and hasn't been since like 2003. That weird way he sings now is terrible and ruined Blink, imo.
I actually still haven't listened to California, but I can't imagine its better than their untitled album. So I def agree that it's a shame that didn't get nominated but this did. Who knows, maybe they didn't bother to submit it but took the time with this one?
The Grammy's have a funky rules for BNA, Bon Iver won 5 years after For Emma, but given the Grammy's position it's probably the best they could come up with.
