I mean the bottomless salad is like watching Borgore all night long. The Pasta is Umphrey's McGee, been there, done that. The only thing going for it is the bread sticks (U2).
Depends on who they mean the clues to excite. The folks on Bonnaroo's Facebook page are acting like Jesus has come back.
The Roo Clue master plan is to drop the trash edm early to make the clues on the backend seem like gold. I can't imagine people would be as excited about Umphrey's if they had led with them.
If they know the EDM is trash, you'd think they would either not book them or just bury them on the lineup during the announcement. (If someone like Borgore was on the lineup announcement but not previously mentioned, they would be a little more of a footnote than a highlight. The fact that they go out of their way to "showcase" the shitty EDM in their limited Roo Clues when they have about 100 other choices basically sums it up for me.

I use trash edm more as a designator for the specific kind of music rather than a commentary on the drawing power of it. Like you, it does worry me that those acts are what they are trying to sell the festival on. You're not gonna drop those three acts in the first five clues when they're going to be the only similar acts on the lineup.
I just hope they give UM a late night again. Their last appearance on the What stage was good, but it was too truncated IMO. I'd like to see a LN set, with some guests possibly coming out with them.
I realize the clue is quoting a poem that leads to UM as the answer, but I wonder if the "midnight sun" part could hint at a LN set?
Regarding a fight on the farm, the redditors' attendance will outnumber us. I suggest we recruit some of those psychos from facebook as ringers.
