I'm one said chick. Look for me and GabbyFrab on the farm this summer!!! Kisses

Presale.
I live 50 miles away. Day parking this year- no camping with 10 month old at home. The old Lollapalooza crew from 2010-2015 is coming down for their first Roo. Sucks that they are seeing a Lolla lineup. But Roo is an experience that is good for the soul.

I'll be there. 4th Bonnaroo and probably the last. I'll be trying for Weekend 1 Coachella during the presale for 2018 which would mean no Bonnaroo 2018.
Hopefully Roo will go back to its roots, or you'll find comfort in the artists they're attracting now. Either way, I bet it's tough seeing you favorite festival change so much. But thankfully I'm not too bummed to where I plan on not attending. Until then I plan on dancing, radiating positivity, and highfiving enough for me and all of you!

not sure if you're still quoting reddit or not but i think bonnaroo is way too big to put out good lineups anymore. they're going to please the masses. unfortunately dog shit artists like marshmallo and tove lo sell tons of tickets

When you say that "Bonnaroo is way too big", are you talking about ownership or size of the festival (i.e., number of artists, number of stages, venue size)?
I'm really hoping this will be our first year. We're local and looking to finally hit the farm with a Saturday day pass but it's likely going to come down to the daily line up. If it's U2 or RHCP then we're in but if it's The Weeknd we will likely pass unless the undercard is great that day.

it's just one of the major festivals, it can get 80k people. if you're trying to get 80k tickets sold, you make lineups like it makes.

I mean, Bonnaroo has been considered one of the Big 4 for many years, so that doesn't really make much sense. They consistently sold 70,000+ tickets with lineups that looked very different from this one. Their first big dud in terms of attendance was last year.
If you already said that you are going and decide to bail for Boston Calling, I won't blame you. I'm already waiting for someone to do the simpsons bushes meme with Roo and BC.

It's looking like U2 - Friday, Weeknd - Saturday, RHCP - Sunday.

I can't wait until they have banners everywhere reading "Best Weeknd Ever"

Ah well, figures the one day we would plan to attend would be with the one headliner we couldn't care less about. Hopefully the undercard is good that day. Any idea when they typically release the daily schedule?
I got pre-sale, so I'll be there. Boston Calling's definitely tempting me to sell my ticket and switch it up but It isn't really realistic with the distance.
Safe to say, though, that I won't be buying pre-sale ever again. I'll be enjoying what may be my last go at Roo this year.

I'm a traditionalist. I still would prefer the #1 to play Saturday night but that ship has sailed.
Huh.... Fireworks after U2 would be so much better than after Weeknd
IIRC, they always used to do them after Sunday's headliner. Now it almost seems random. Like, they've gone off in the middle of song breaks before and the artist has seemed confused.

The only time I remember them Sunday was a few years back when someone snuck a box into the area in front of the hill and set them off. They were really low, and it was crazy as fuck. I took a picture of the box afterwards. Every other year they were Saturday night

I remember that, think it was 14. Literally what seemed like an artillery shell popping much lower than it should, and the glow of (I think?) red lighting up what field.

Yeah 14 sounds right. The ashes we're all over us. Was kind of cool until you realized it wasn't sanctioned and could end poorly
One of our c'roo dropped out. Not to go into too many details, but apparently she will be on some sort of house arrest this Summer. Whatever. There are 5 crew members remaining.

Oh I agree! I don't care for the weeknd except that starboy song. I would kill to see U2 close the festival with the fireworks and the long walk back to camp that follows where everyone is in their feels and all warm and fuzzy like did this just really happen
