AC just booked the Foo Fighters in Knoxville (they may be the promoter for other stops as well, though I'm not sure). This probably means nothing either way, though.

I don't see Drake being one of the top 3. Not that he wouldn't be if booked. But I just don't see him for another few years. I also Think Coachella gets Arcade Fire and Roo does not. We will get The Killers instead probably.

Prepare for disappointment.
Nothing about that is unrealistic (except maybe Gambino). Either they realize they need to match the legend act with some legend undercards (Fleetwood Mac or The Who with Duran Duran) or they just get rid them both and go Drake - Foos - AF/Frank

Given the alleged U2 attendance, I can't see them booking The Who or Fleetwood. Foos is likely the oldest they go. AF perhaps, Frank and Gambino unlikely. VW and AM will likely be in Europe.

They sold like 20k more tickets than they did last year. The only thing about U2 is that they played stadium shows everywhere. If FM are more scarce next year in the States than U2, they could sell even more than they did this year.
Also, book a midcard. 2015's #1 was Billy Joel and they sold better than 2017. The difference was they had a solid midcard.

If you don't think that Fleetwood Mac would move tickets are you crazy. Especially if it's part of a farewell tour of sorts. Foo Fighters could certainly still be on that card but they wouldn't move more tickets than FM, especially if they are doing a tour around the US prior to festival season 2018.
Fleetwood Mac - Foo Fighters - Kendrick Lamar - Lana Del Rey - Future - Martin Garrix - Bassnectar
lock it in (especially since the Foos ft. that one dude that played drums for that band that is on the radio all the time are FINALLY headliner status in the US)

People seriously think a band called the Foo Fighters are going to be headlining festivals just because one of their guys looks like the drummer from Nirvana? wtf

they announce 1 album and all the sudden they're headliner status? im tired of these new bands headlining festivals after their 2nd album.

You guys are really taking what one idiot said on reddit and running with it. That comment has negative karma and multiple upvoted replies explaining what a dumb opinion that is.

I mean, besides the Foos, the Radiohead are the only other 90s alt rock band still going strong.

So the current formula is:
1. Generally out of left field legacy act that isn't really playing many, if any, other festival.
2. Recycled rock band that will play, and had played, every festival. A safe bet to move tickets like Mumford, or RHCP. Maybe if we're lucky they'll fuck around and book Arcade Fire.
3-5. Crossover pop act, hip-hop artist, big room EDM
Fleetwood Mac - Kendrick Lamar - Arcade Fire Phoenix - Queens of the Stone Age - Justice - ODESZA - alt-J Paramore - Run the Jewels - Solange - Ryan Adams - Pretty Lights Grizzly Bear - Animal Collective - Phantogram - James Blake - Ratatat - Sylvan Esso
not nearly enough awful. I think having really dope headliners is fine. But the second line down needs to be so much worse to be realistic.

Yeah I know, more just what I'd like if they somehow returned to form (which I know they won't nearly to that extent). I'd say it's at least accurate in terms of scale though, comparing it to this year. I mean Lorde was 7th.
Yeah this is too awesome unfortunately, if we get half of these plus Fleet Foxes I'll be pretty dang happy
I am really hoping we get Fleet Foxes too, but after that tweet (I don't remember when it was from) where they said they don't like playing Roo, I am nervous to even get my hopes up.

Yeahhh I got tickets to one of their Austin shows for this reason. I get the sense that they're probably fed up with Live Nation fests. Similar to Bon Iver.
