Whether it's your first Bonnaroo or you’re a music festival veteran, we welcome you to Inforoo.
Here you'll find info about artists, rumors, camping tips, and the infamous Roo Clues. Have a look around then create an account and join in the fun. See you at Bonnaroo!!
I am really hoping we get Fleet Foxes too, but after that tweet (I don't remember when it was from) where they said they don't like playing Roo, I am nervous to even get my hopes up.
Yeahhh I got tickets to one of their Austin shows for this reason. I get the sense that they're probably fed up with Live Nation fests. Similar to Bon Iver.
If the undercard continues being lack luster, the only headliner combination that would get me back to the farm regardless would be something like Fleetwood Mac * Foo Fighters/Tool * Gorillaz

What's the story behind this?
Someone on instagram asked Robin Pecknold to play a proper Nashville show and not bonnaroo because they didn't like bonnaroo and Robin's response was in pretty firm agreement

My thoughts- the killers are bound to happen, Future seems like the next thing at fests. IMO the top 2 comes from the group of Fleetwood Mac (June start date per Christine McVie), Lady Gaga (no Nashville show), Arcade Fire (no Nashville show), Foo Fighters (October Nashville show, doesn't make them impossible. Lionel Richie did 8 month turn around 13 to 14 Roo), and Jay-Z (pipe dream, but he could be touring).
Best Guess
Fleetwood Mac - Arcade Fire - The Killers - Future Zedd - Odesza - QotSA - Arctic Monkeys Run the Jewels - Foster the People- Haim Some DJ we make fun of - Big Boi The Shins - Cut/Copy - All of your wildest dreams/let downs
May Tycho May Phoenix June Rooo July MMJ and Margo Price August Queen with Adam Lambert August Roger Waters (Bucket list #1) August Spoon and Portugal the man Sept Depeche Mode Sept Pilgrimage Fest
Eminem - Ed Sheeran - Foo Fighters - Childish Gambino
Queens of the Stone Age - Disclosure - Beck - Bryson Tiller - ODESZA - Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Run The Jewels - Pretty Lights Logic - St. Vincent - Porter Robinson - Anderson .Paak and the Free Nationals - The War on Drugs - Nick Murphy - Gucci Mane - FKA Twigs
So five days ago RTJ were a borderline headliner and now Bryson Tiller is above them. Interesting.

I said I would like to see them as a headliner. They aren't there quite yet. I hope they eventually are; by next year is probably a stretch.
Bryson Tiller is undoubtedly above them. I probably should have put Logic higher too.

All jokes aside, this is probably more realistic.
Edit: though the trend calls for at least one compelling headliner. Dump Eminem for AF.

Man, I don't know if it's just this board but Childish Gambino is simply overrated.
This statement is factually incorrect. Childish Gambino cannot be rated because he's above it all.
Seriously though when I first checked him out his first year at Bonnaroo (2013?) I wasn't feelin' it. He had a few songs I had heard that were good, but his performance wasn't solid to begin. Wandered away from his show after some 15-20, but was pretty funked up so instead of goin' to another show I found myself back at Gambino, and the rest of his set crushed. The next time he was back he was great! And that new album, minus "California," is hot fire.
I had no idea Bryson Tiller was that big, honestly.
I don't think he is. No way is he top 10 on a major fest lineup. I'm actually pretty sure he'd be below RTJ. At best he'd be positioned where Tory Lanez or Russ was this year. So 16-30 range. By contrast, RTJ are 11 on the ACL lineup this year.

Maybe. The day that Ed Sheeran, the european Jack Johnson, is a headliner at Roo will be the day they lose me.

The headliners will be fine anyways. It's the rest of the of the lineup we should be more worried about.
I wonder if RHCP are signs of repeat bookings to fill the legacy spot? If that's the case other Live Nation tours like Tom Petty could be on the table.

Tom Petty is not playing a "Live Nation tour." Almost half his dates are at AEG venues, he has a few nights coming up at Red Rocks (AEG owned), he just played Mountain Jam (an independent fest) this past weekend, and he is playing AEG owned Jazz Fest.
This is why when you bozos say things like "Live Nation package tours," I roll my eyes hard as hell and call it for what it is, message board nonsense. Very few acts do LiveNation only tours. Mostly just big time artists like U2. Jay Z just got a LiveNation only deal and it was a huge story.
